In late 2013, LG unveiled a smartphone called the G Flex. It was one of the first smartphones to feature a flexible display, as the name might indicate, and its casing was curved slightly to help showcase that.

Meh.

The phone also included another new feature though. While it wasn’t publicized quite as widely, the back of the G Flex sported a special coating that was able to slowly heal itself from minor scratches and swirling. This awesome feature has since been included on a few other LG phones, and it really is quite impressive.

Now, however, a third-party iPhone case maker has invented self-repairing plastic technology that works instantly, and I have been testing it for the past week.

At the moment, Fantastic Four is sitting at 9% on RottenTomatoes, making it one of the most critically panned comic book films in history. Unless the score starts trending upwards any time soon, Fox’s Fantastic Four reboot will officially be worse than 1997’s Batman & Robin in the eyes of critics.

Taking all this into consideration, it’s not surprising to see that fans of the classic comic are desperate to get the characters out of Fox’s hands.

According to the developer behind a new jailbreak app, there is one single complaint surrounding the iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus that surfaces more often than any other: they can’t be used easily with one hand. While Apple’s record sales are proof that people were clamoring for larger iPhones, there is no question that it is much more difficult to use phones with 4.7- and 5.5-inch screens than it is to use a phone with a 4-inch screen.

Apple’s brilliant Reachability feature provides a momentary solution for one-handed use, but there has to be a better way, right? Now, if you’re willing to jailbreak your iPhone, there is.

We recently wrote about an awful pay TV scam that’s hiding in plain sight. Cable and satellite TV providers charge you as much as a monthly Netflix subscription or even more to rent a cable box that allows you to use their services. You’ll likely end up paying hundreds of dollars for this box over the course of your contract, and then you’ll have to pay hundreds more or return the box when it comes time to move or cancel your service.

Of course, pay TV companies are also Internet service providers, and they double up and pull the same move with your modem. As is often the case with cable boxes, however, you can fight back against these bogus charges by purchasing your own hardware.

It’s been a long time coming, but it finally seems appears that the iPad mini will be getting some long-deserved and welcome upgrades. A new report from 9to5Mac relays that recently discovered data strings in OS X El Capitan point to the iPad mini 4 getting support for Split View mode, a feature that will become available once iOS 9 drops.

With Split View mode, iPad users will be able to view and use two separate apps side by side. This multitasking functionality will instantly transform the iPad into a much more capable and appealing computing device.
