Samsung announced the Galaxy Note 5 and Galaxy S6 edge+ on Thursday and revealed that both handsets will be available in stores in America starting August 21st, after a week of preorders. Following Samsung’s event, U.S. carriers have made their own Galaxy Note 5 and Galaxy S6 edge+ announcements, revealing pricing details for both devices.

With season 5 of Game of Thrones now in the books, and Jon Snow officially dead (he is dead, right?), many fans are already starting to speculate on what we might expect to see in future seasons Though seven seasons of GOT on HBO are reportedly planned, Game of Thrones scribe Geroge RR Martin still has to finish writing the last two books in the series. And while we have a long ways to go until we reach the series finale, Martin recently explained what users can look forward to when Game of Thrones reaches what will undoubtedly be a rousing conclusion.

It seems like no one can release a phone that’s good enough for Android fans these days. Recently we documented Android fans complaining because the OnePlus 2, which delivers cutting-edge hardware for under $390, lacks support for NFC. Now it seems that Samsung’s just-announced Galaxy Note 5 is getting the same treatment if comments over at Reddit’s Android fan page are anything to go by.

Phablet fans, rejoice! The Galaxy Note 5 finally arrived on Thursday, and as we noted in our hands-on preview, it’s easily the best Android phablet on the market. That said, plenty of Android fans were tempted by the iPhone 6 Plus last year, and with the iPhone 6s Plus presumably a month away from release, some fans might be waiting to see what Apple has to offer.

What happens when a horrendous typhoon like Soudelor hits land? We’ve seen already that the typhoon’s winds are strong enough to lift Boeing 747 airplanes off the ground. And now a new video shows the typhoon is powerful enough to move a 720-ton steel ball (let’s call it a mass damper) suspended atop of a skyscraper (let’s call it Taipei 101, one of the world’s tallest buildings, measuring 1,651 feet).

Some fans last year were disappointed that Apple didn’t release a round smartwatch on par with the Moto 360. While a round Apple Watch likely won’t be released in the near future, Apple fans can at least take solace that Samsung has shown them just how nice an Apple Watch would look if it had a round face.

One of the more widely voiced complaints regarding online dating is that you never know who you’re truly talking to on the other end. The man who claims he’s fit and 6’1 tall may, in reality, be a portly 5’7 of a fellow. Or, even worse, perhaps the man you’re talking to co-opted the identity of Forrest Gump on his Tinder profile for a few laughs.

As BlackBerry has found out time and time again, almost no one is buying smartphones with physical keyboards anymore. Samsung never got the memo, however, which is why it made one of the silliest accessories it could possibly come up with for its shiny new phablets: An extremely ugly physical QWERTY keyboard that you shouldn’t be caught dead using with the Galaxy Note 5 or Galaxy S6 edge+.
