Remember back in June when the Federal Communications Commission slapped AT&T with a $100 million fine for misleading subscribers on its “unlimited” data plans? Well you can be sure that AT&T remembers, and the nation’s No. 2 wireless service provider just quietly made a huge change to its throttling policy.

At the time, FCC chairman Tom Wheeler said that consumers were being “deceived by misleading marketing materials and insufficient disclosure.” We’re not sure whether or not AT&T’s disclosure is anymore sufficient now than it was back then, but changes made this week to the carrier’s data throttling policy will certainly make unlimited plan holders quite happy.

Apple CEO Tim Cook appeared Tuesday night on The Late Show with Stephen Colbert. Fans of both Apple and of Colbert had high expectations of the interview, which is indeed something of a rarity for Cook. Of course, anytime the chief executive of the most valuable company in the world does an interview anywhere, it’s a pretty big deal.

Apple will release the final version of iOS 9 later today, and the software update will bring several new features and performance improvements. On top of that, the new release will fix a massive iOS vulnerability that would allow a third-party to gain control of a user’s iPhone. Edward Snowden probably needs no introduction, as long as you’ve been following the news at any point for the last couple of years. The former NSA contractor-turned-whistleblower revealed to the world the advanced powers of government agencies when it comes to conducting smart mass-spying operations.

Evidently, someone made a movie about it. And when Snowden, the movie, is made by none other than Oliver Stone and stars Joseph Gordon-Levitt, the film becomes all the more appealing. Sadly, Snowden isn’t hitting theaters on Christmas Day, as had been planned, and is instead being pushed back to 2016. As Variety explains, the movie is now out of the 2015 awards season race.
