After the typical multi-month beta period that began this past summer at WWDC 2015, Apple released iOS 9 to the general public on Wednesday. Millions upon millions of people around the world have already updated, but there are probably some stragglers who are holding out because they still have a bad taste in their mouths from the early days of iOS 8.

Readers… some things in life just aren’t fair. Case in point: some obnoxiously wealthy guy in Australia has a Batcave and you don’t.
Australian architectural firm Molecule recently posted about a special undertaking it completed not long ago. The firm’s client, who was not named in the post, asked it to reproduce Bruce Wayne’s underground garage from The Dark Knight series under his own home, while ensuring that the work avoided disturbing his home’s “heritage quality and evident beauty.”

When it comes to sweating the small stuff, no company is more on the ball than Apple. From the materials the company uses in its retail stores to the small and barely perceptible touches it adds to both its hardware and software, Apple leaves no detail to chance.
As a quick and illustrative example, a few months back we highlighted how the flashlight icon in the iOS control panel has a switch that toggles between the on and off position depending on if the flashlight is in use or not.

The Martian promises to be one of the hottest movies of the year and a great space film in general, one that’s been made with help from NASA. In fact, there are plenty of clever marketing tricks behind the movie starring Matt Damon and many other well-known actors, including impressive trailers that look like NASA documentaries. Damon is The Martian, who has to find ways to survive on the planet after being mistakenly left behind by his crew, who then have to get back to Mars to save him.
