A new James Bond movie is about to be released, Daniel Craig’s fourth and possibly final appearance in the famous spy saga. As always, you can expect to see plenty of action-packed scenes, high-tech toys, new Bond women and cars. Focusing solely on cars for a moment, Bond will drive a custom Aston Martin DB10 in Spectre that has been designed precisely for this role.

Amazon has a problem: A lot of its employees seem desperately miserable. This isn’t something the company wants to become part of its permanent reputation since it will make it harder to attract top engineering talent. To fix this problem, Amazon is apparently trying to do more to figure out just how many of its employees absolutely hate their jobs and, more importantly, figure out why those employees hate their jobs.

There’s really only one game that everyone’s going to be talking about this weekend — a game that doesn’t even launch until next month — but an interesting collaboration from Square Enix and Tecmo Koei is slated to launch on Tuesday, and although I’ve only spent a couple of hours with it, I thought it was worth sharing my initial impressions.

For a long time now, I’ve been a big fan of SwiftKey, which I’ve found to be the most reliable third-party smartphone keyboard around. This week I was excited to see that my favorite smartphone keyboard is working on a major project that will make it smarter than ever before. Dubbed SwiftKey Neural, this experimental new keyboard software uses technology that “is based on the use of neural networks, a subfield of artificial intelligence inspired by the structure and operation of the human brain,” the company explains.

Billions of years ago, there were lakes shimmering on Mars.
That is the conclusion from the team behind NASA’s Mars Science Laboratory/Curiosity, who used data from the Curiosity rover to determine that water helped deposit sediment into Gale Crater. Three years ago, the rover landed at the crater and it has been exploring the area ever since.

Bluetooth speed probably isn’t the kind of hardware detail you’re interested in when buying a new computer or smartphone, including the iPhone 6s. In fact, Apple did not even talk about the iPhone 6s’s Bluetooth capabilities during its September 9th announcement event, though it did mention the Bluetooth abilities of the new Apple TV and remote during the event.
However, it appears the company did bump the Bluetooth speed from Bluetooth 4.0 to Bluetooth 4.2 on the devices it released last year.

Recently crowned as the top camera on DxOMark, Sony’s Xperia Z5 smartphone had appeared to be the current gold standard for smartphone cameras. But a recent comparison between the iPhone 6s Plus and the Xperia Z5 seems to indicate that Apple’s new phone might be even better than Sony’s best smartphone camera for a number of reasons.
