Pixar has been on the upswing after tepid reactions to The Good Dinosaur and Cars 3 in recent years. With Coco and Incredibles 2, the celebrated animation studio appeared to be back on track, and will now attempt to cement its return to form with the first Toy Story movie in nine years. Toy Story 4 is coming, and although it won’t hit theaters until next summer, we got our first glimpse at the sequel in a teaser trailer on Monday.

Not every studio defines the word “teaser” the same way, but this is a teaser in the truest sense of the word. We don’t get to see any footage from the actual movie or learn anything about the plot. What we do get is a new look at Pixar’s most iconic characters, which we haven’t seen since 2010’s Toy Story 3.

Samsung is going to produce an estimated 300 million smartphones in this year, according to an estimate from market research firm TrendForce. Compared to how large a pile of handsets that represents, the South Korea-based tech giant’s much-hyped experiment with foldable phones is only going to represent a small blip, at least at first. We now know the company is going to start its foldable phone production with at least 1 million units, according to comments from Samsung’s mobile chief DJ Koh as reported by South Korean news agency Yonhap News.

Depending on the market reaction Samsung observes, Koh continued, that number might climb. But he was insistent in his remarks, which were taken from last week’s Samsung developer conference in San Francisco, that, yes, these handsets are going to be extremely niche at the beginning. But the company is absolutely committed to seeing how far it can go here. Samsung, according to Koh, is going to release a new version of the foldable phone every year, the same way it does with its Galaxy flagship devices, and we’ll see the launch of the new foldable phones in the first half of 2019 “no matter what.”

Samsung TVs are already some of the most popular options for high-end home theater systems, and the company is now using its television-making prowess to help people with disabilities live more normal lives. A new project by a Samsung team in Switzerland could yield the first smart TV that can be controlled with thoughts.

As CNET reports, Samsung has partnered with Swiss scientists to bring the system to life. Called ‘Project Pontis,’ the ultimate goal is to build a brain/software interface that will allow individuals with movement disabilities to control television features like channel switching and volume control with their brains rather than their bodies.

One of the most interesting shifts in the Netflix library over the past couple of years has been the influx of original films. We’ve become accustomed to the countless original series that launch every month, but Netflix has doubled down on feature-length projects in recent months, and as I was putting together this list, I was struck by just how many movies are hitting the streaming service this week alone.

The highlight of the bunch is undoubtedly The Ballad of Buster Scruggs, which is an anthology of six short films from the Coen brothers all set in the Old West. Other than that, we also have the latest season of Narcos, and the well-reviewed horror movie Green Room, starring none other than Patrick Stewart.
