We only have about a week to go until Avengers: Endgame hits theaters — April 26th is the official launch date for the film, but it’ll premiere on April 24th or April 25th in several markets. Marvel fans who’ve been eagerly waiting the epic conclusion of the Infinity Saga have probably seen all the 21 films from the Marvel Cinematic Universe several times already. I’ve been rewatching all of them, just to get reacquainted to the past, and I’ve probably seen Infinity War at least a couple of times in the past few weeks alone. But I do realize there are many non-true believers among us, people who either haven’t seen any MCU film so far or are far from catching up with what our heroes have been up to. If you’re one of them and plan on seeing Endgame, you’ll probably have a great experience, but you won’t quite get everything. There will be plenty of references to past events, which means the best way of seeing Avengers 4, is by binging on recent MCU films as fast as possible. In what follows, I’ll offer you three recipes that should improve your Endgame experience considerably. I will not spoil anything about the MCU or Endgame, so it’s safe to proceed with this post.

After years of perfecting the various technologies required to manufacture foldable phones, and after years of hype, Samsung finally launched its first ever foldable. And that’s when the story took an unexpected twist: the Galaxy Fold’s screen started breaking or malfunctioning in the hands of expert reviewers. In a matter of hours, a bunch of Galaxy Fold units broke because of various issues concerning that sophisticated Infinity Flex display. Mind you, these weren’t regular users who purchased a device in stores. These were reviewers used to handling all sorts of devices. And they encountered a bunch of issues which prove Samsung’s foldable prototype is, for the time being, a failure. With that in mind, you’d better off not buying the Galaxy Fold for the time being.

Samsung has finally weighed in with an official statement addressing the slew of media reports over the past 24 hours detailing a series of mysterious and bizarre malfunctions some early Galaxy Fold users have encountered.

Samsung’s response, which you can read in full below, amounts to, in short: We’ll be inspecting those units “thoroughly” in person. But next week’s US launch date is still a go.

Watch a massive fireball light up the sky over the East Coast

Not all meteor sightings are create equal. Seeing any space rock streaking across the night sky is pretty darn cool, but some of them put on more of a show than others. East Coasters who were in the right place at the right time last night got to see one of the more impressive fireballs in recent memory.

The meteor, which traveled through Earth’s atmosphere on a trajectory that took it over the coast of New Jersey, was visible over a huge area of the East Coast. It lasted longer than is typical, and hundreds of reports flooded into the American Meteor Society shortly after it happened.

%name HBO teases us with new images from episode 2 of the final season of ‘Game of Thrones’ by Authcom, Nova Scotia\s Internet and Computing Solutions Provider in Kentville, Annapolis Valley

There were a few major, game-changing revelations and bombshells that Game of Thrones dropped on us in episode 1 this past Sunday that fans will be chomping at the bit to watch play out this weekend during episode 2, as the show’s eighth and final season draws to a close. Major plot twists, like the revelation Jon Snow, not Daenerys, is the true heir to the Iron Throne — and that he and Dany are also related, which will make for an awkward conversation given how “close” they’ve been.

You almost wonder if that revelation is the reason for the concern seen on everyone’s face in the image at the top of this post, which is part of a batch of new images from the show’s upcoming episode that HBO has just released.

A fossil hunter is selling a baby T-rex on eBay, and scientists are livid

One of the great things about the world of science is that researchers in most fields tend to be incredibly open with their work. Many publish papers that are available to anyone who wants to read them, and paleontologists in particular love to show what they’ve discovered, lending fossils of ancient creatures to museums and institutions where they can be studied further and enjoyed by the general public.

Fossil hunter Alan Detrich has gone firmly against that trend, deciding to list the tiny T-rex fossils he discovered on eBay, despite the fact that they were still on display at the University of Kansas Natural History Museum. Now, his decision to sell the bones has drawn the ire of researchers around the globe, and his $2.95 million asking price is getting a heap of criticism.

The fight against the barrage of spam calls and robocalls continues to pick up steam, as a pair of rival carriers announced today that they’re beginning to work more closely together to try and put a stop to the madness.

Both companies on Wednesday announced they’ll begin verifying calls made across both of their networks so that customers can be assured calls they receive are coming from an actual human being. Or rather, given the nature of some of these calls, a human being they’d actually want to hear from.

Apple’s automotive initiative, unofficially dubbed Project Titan, appears to still be alive and kicking. According to a report from Reuters, Apple is currently looking into advanced lidar sensor technology that “would be smaller, cheaper and more easily mass produced than current technology.”

What’s more, the report relays that Apple, in addition to exploring third-party solutions, also has a team of engineers working on developing an Apple-branded lidar sensor.

NASA plans to send astronauts to the Moon’s South Pole in five years

%name NASA plans to send astronauts to the Moon’s South Pole in five years by Authcom, Nova Scotia\s Internet and Computing Solutions Provider in Kentville, Annapolis Valley

NASA is moving forward with plans to send a crewed mission to the lunar surface by 2024, a goal that will be impossible to achieve without additional funding and support that the U.S. government has not yet confirmed it is willing to offer. Nevertheless, the agency is working hard on many of the preliminary aspects of the mission, including choosing a landing site, and boy did they pick a neat one.

In an announcement on NASA’s website, the agency reveals that it will be targeting the South Pole of the Moon, which has never been explored by humans but is thought to hold vast reserves of water ice. Water in any form will be crucial to future plans of using the Moon as a “jumping-off point” for missions deeper into space, and learning how to efficiently tap into the Moon’s natural resources is high on the agency’s priority list.

Google Maps will use a core Waze feature to improve public transit

It’s no secret that Google is trying to bring the best thing about Waze to Google Maps. That’s the rich incident reports feature that Waze users loved so much — the crowdsourced data that’s used to improve your navigation experience significantly. The more information Google Maps or Waze has about the traffic ahead and the various obstacles, the faster it can reroute you to a quicker route.

Google, of course, can afford to bring Waze features to Google Maps with ease, because it owns both apps. But a discovery now reveals that Google might use a Waze-like approach to improve public transportation.
