We speculated well before Avengers: Endgame hit cinemas that it would be an emotional rollercoaster, and that’s precisely what Marvel’s epic conclusion of these first 11 years of films turned out to be. Though, technically, Spider-Man: Far From Home, which premieres in early July, will conclude the MCU’s Phase 3.

Endgame also brought us a bunch of epic new lines that will never be forgotten. Not only are they emotional themselves, but many of them were quickly turned into memes. If you haven’t seen the movie, you might have seen some of them without realizing they come from Endgame. That said, there is one line in particular that stands out, considering what happens in the film; one that will forever stay with fans. And it turns out it might have an even deeper meaning than we first thought. Before we proceed, you should know that a few significant spoilers follow below.

%name A huge asteroid will squeak by Earth in 2029, and you’ll be able to see it without a telescope by Authcom, Nova Scotia\s Internet and Computing Solutions Provider in Kentville, Annapolis Valley

Roughly a decade from now, a rather sizable space rock is going to have a very close encounter with Earth — on Friday the 13th, no less. On April 13th, 2029, the asteroid known as Apophis will pass by Earth at a distance of just 19,000 miles.

For a bit of context, the Moon is somewhere between 225,000 and 252,000 miles away at any given time. Yeah, this is going to be one seriously close shave, but as Space.com reports it’s going to be a day of celebration for scientists rather than fear, and the next decade will give researchers around the world an opportunity for something of a end-of-the-world “dry run” as they explore what measures they might one day have to take if a large space rock would ever threaten our survival.

PlayStation Plus free games for May 2019: ‘What Remains of Edith Finch’ and ‘Overcooked!’

%name PlayStation Plus free games for May 2019: ‘What Remains of Edith Finch’ and ‘Overcooked!’ by Authcom, Nova Scotia\s Internet and Computing Solutions Provider in Kentville, Annapolis Valley

We’re so used to Sony inundating us with first-party exclusive for the PlayStation 4 that this year feels incredibly empty by comparison. Sure, Days Gone came out last week, but there really isn’t all that much left to look forward to in the near future. That shouldn’t come as much of a surprise though, as the company has already begun hyping up its next-generation console, despite the fact that it’s at least a year away.

With all that in mind, the PlayStation Plus freebies are going to be even more important in the coming months, and though May’s selection is decent, it’s not going to bowl anyone over either. Both titles are over two years old, but if they’re still not in your library, be sure to add them before the month is over.

Like many of the larger bodies in our solar system, Saturn’s massive moon Titan has long been of interest to astronomers due to its unique surface features. NASA’s Cassini spacecraft, which studied Saturn for over 13 years, spent a great deal of time examining Titan as well, and data it gathered is still yielding new discoveries.

Now, a new paper published in Nature Astronomy reveals the existence of a rather peculiar feature of Titan that has remained hidden from view thanks to the moon’s hazy atmosphere. A massive strip of water ice dominates a huge portion of the planet’s midsection, stretching for nearly 4,000 miles, and its discovery has left scientists wondering what caused it.

Japan found water on an asteroid, and it could reveal secrets about Earth

%name Japan found water on an asteroid, and it could reveal secrets about Earth by Authcom, Nova Scotia\s Internet and Computing Solutions Provider in Kentville, Annapolis Valley

Nothing would excite astronomers more than to discover a planet somewhere out there with obvious signs of life, but it just hasn’t happened yet. Earth, we think, is pretty special in its ability to foster life, and as far as we know there’s a few things that are vital for life to exist, one of the big ones being liquid water.

Japan sent its Hayabusa probe to the asteroid known as Itokawa way back in 2003 and some seven years later it returned to Earth’s surface with a sample of the space rock stowed away inside. Those samples have been the subject of much interested in the scientific community, and now a new research paper reveals that the tiny specks of material contain something that could tell us a lot about our own planet: water.
