Much to everyone’s surprise, Samsung decided to postpone the launch of the first foldable smartphone it has ever made. The company delayed the Galaxy Fold rollout after several reviewers discovered that the foldable screens of their test units started malfunctioning. Samsung is investigating the matter and hasn’t issued out any official explanations, but there are two different theories about what went wrong with the Galaxy Fold’s Infinity Flex screen. Interestingly, one of the theories concerns a brand new smartphone component that Samsung developed for the Fold, and it’s one that other smartphone makers seem to want for themselves.

If you’re a Netflix subscriber, you definitely have mixed emotions right now about your favorite source of streaming entertainment. On the one hand, Netflix is about to jack up its prices next month and it’ll be the biggest price increase in the history of Netflix’s streaming service. Netflix’s most popular plan will increase a whopping 18% from $10.99 to $12.99, the premium plan with 4K jumps to $15.99 from $13.99, and the cheapest plan climbs from $7.99 to $8.99. Then, on the other hand, the fact that Netflix is premiering a whopping 62 new original movies, shows, and specials in May 2019 alone serves as a great reminder of how much value people get from their monthly subscriptions. Think of it like this: Netflix will release more new original content this month than Apple will likely release on its new Apple TV+ service over the course of the whole year.

Netflix is indeed a fantastic service and it’s worth every penny, even at its newly increased prices. It’s not perfect, however, and there are some things about the interface that are definitely annoying. One thing in particular goes far beyond “annoying” and actually teeters on the edge of being infuriating, but thankfully there’s an easy way to fix it.

Just a week after its premiere in Los Angeles, Avengers: Endgame is well on its way to becoming one of the highest grossing movies of all time, if not the highest. That honor belongs to Spider-Man: Far From Home, which is technically the only MCU movie that has been confirmed after Endgame. And yet, countless rumors, reports, and leaks have made it clear that at least half a dozen other films are gearing up to begin production, so we’ve attempted to put all the puzzle pieces together.

We’re now less than a week away from seeing Google unveil its brand new Pixel 3a and Pixel 3a XL smartphones, two new handsets that will resurrect the spirit — and more importantly, the low prices — of the company’s old Nexus series. Just one week after that, OnePlus will host multiple events around the world to unveil its new OnePlus 7 phone series, the star of which is the OnePlus 7 Pro. Thanks to leaks we know that this sleek new flagship smartphone will offer an all-screen design that’s unlike anything we’ve seen so far in the United States, with a display that stretches nearly all the way to the edges of the phone and a selfie camera that pops up from the top when needed. Samsung’s exciting but horribly designed Galaxy Fold might finally see the light of day sometime after that, and then we have the new Galaxy Note 10 to look forward to in early August. Long story short, there are tons of new Android flagships set to be released in the coming months… and yet Apple’s upcoming iPhone 11 series is already overshadowing them all.

As has been the case for years, Apple is expected to announce its next-generation iPhones in September, which is still four months away. A handful of new Android flagship phones will be released before then, and that doesn’t even include all the new phones set to be announced by regional device makers in China.
