Testing Cylinder Heads and Camshaft on a 5.0L Engine

The word nostalgia means different things to different people. Case in point, Ford’s little ponycar—the marvelous Mustang. Your author was lucky enough

Hey Google, stop trying to redefine privacy

%name Hey Google, stop trying to redefine privacy by Authcom, Nova Scotia\s Internet and Computing Solutions Provider in Kentville, Annapolis Valley

Privacy was one of the themes of Google’s I/O keynote this year, and that’s understandable given what the competition has been doing all these years. Yes, Apple — but also the various privacy-related scandals that affected Facebook over the last year as well as Google. Sundar Pichai then doubled down on privacy by penning an opinion in The New York Times that seems to be redefining privacy in a way that fits Google’s interests.

The CEO also makes it all sound like Google has been protecting the user’s privacy all this time, seemingly pretending that all those privacy offenses it had to deal with in recent years never happened.

NASA is designing flexible robots that could find a home on Mars

%name NASA is designing flexible robots that could find a home on Mars by Authcom, Nova Scotia\s Internet and Computing Solutions Provider in Kentville, Annapolis Valley

Robots and space exploration go hand-in-hand, so it’s no surprise that NASA is on the forefront of experimental new robotics technologies that could be used during missions to other planets. The group’s rovers and robotic landers have proven incredibly useful for gathering information about places like Mars, but rigid metal might not be the ideal material for future bots.

In a new blog post, NASA shows off some of the experimental work it is conducting in the realm of soft robots. Robots made out of silicone or other pliable materials could provide future missions with new capabilities, and soft robots could play a huge role in future manned missions to Mars and beyond.

%name You should probably get these 6 ft HDMI cables for $4 each instead of overpaying at your local store by Authcom, Nova Scotia\s Internet and Computing Solutions Provider in Kentville, Annapolis Valley

Have you ever purchased an HDMI cable from a local electronics store? You got ripped off. That’s especially true if they managed to up-sell you on a “premium” cable made of “premium” materials. While it’s certainly true that not all cables are created equal and you might have issues if you buy cheapo HDMI cables for $1 each on Alibaba, any decent brand will be fine. In fact, you won’t notice any difference at all even between a $500 AudioQuest cable and AmazonBasics High-Speed HDMI Cables, which are on sale right now on Amazon for $4 each when you buy a 3-pack.

AmazonBasics High-Speed HDMI Cable, 6 Feet, 3-Pack: $11.99

Android Q’s new gestures were ripped off from the iPhone X, and that’s just fine

%name Android Q’s new gestures were ripped off from the iPhone X, and that’s just fine by Authcom, Nova Scotia\s Internet and Computing Solutions Provider in Kentville, Annapolis Valley

During yesterday’s I/O developer conference, Google provided us with a lot more information about Android Q, the company’s next-gen version of Android. Though Google rolled out the first developer beta of Android Q a few months back, Google yesterday unveiled a slew of previously undisclosed features Android users can look forward to.

Without question, one of the more intriguing new features Google added to Android Q centers on a host of new gestures that make the entire user experience much more seamless and intuitive. While Android users will undoubtedly see the gestures as a step forward, it’s hard to ignore the fact that some of Android Q’s new gestures were seemingly lifted straight from the iPhone X.

A company named STIFF BOY had to recall supplements because they were spiked with Viagra

%name A company named STIFF BOY had to recall supplements because they were spiked with Viagra by Authcom, Nova Scotia\s Internet and Computing Solutions Provider in Kentville, Annapolis Valley

This is one of those rare stories that sounds like it could have come straight from a parody news site but I swear to you it’s real: A company that calls itself STIFF BOY, LLC (yes, it styles its business name in all caps, in case you were wondering) has just been forced to recall its “all-natural male enhancement” supplement called The Beast because the pills were found to contain a prescription drug.

Now, if you’re buying a male enhancement pill from some no-name company out of Englewood, NJ, you’ve probably decided that you don’t care all that much about your health. It should also come as no surprise that the undeclared drug in the pills STIFF BOY is producing is sildenafil, which is the active ingredient in Viagra. But wait, the story gets even better.
