Following the release of Avengers: Endgame, Marvel fans are more curious than ever about how the studio plans to top (or even reach) the heights of the Infinity Saga in the future. The movie has already topped $2.5 billion and the box office to become the second biggest film of all time. Endgame served as a reset button of sorts, allowing several of the original Avengers to complete their arcs within the Marvel Cinematic Universe, but sooner or later, the MCU will have to ramp up to another Endgame-level crossover event.

There has been a great deal of speculation over what direction Marvel Studios might take the franchise as a whole in Phase 4 and onward, with comic fans pointing to major villains such as Galactus and Kang the Conquerer as potential solutions to take the mantle from Thanos. Game of Thrones season 8 turned out to be so much worse than we any of us have anticipated, and the thing that ruins it all is the writing. It’s as if the showrunners, D.B. Weiss and David Benioff, decided to completely ignore logic, common sense, and character arcs just to put the show behind them as quickly as possible. It also doesn’t help at all that season 8 is the shortest in the entire show, which means we have to rush through meaningful scenes to get to the finish line. With all that in mind, it’s not surprising to see disappointed fans banding together on Reddit looking to get back at D&D, and the results are hilarious. Just search Google for “bad writers,” and see what comes up.

I don’t think it’s a stretch to say that just about all modern flagship smartphones are starting to look very, very similar. An edge-to-edge display up front, a few camera lenses on the back and — bam! — you’ve reached the pinnacle of smartphone design. That is, unless you’ve been keeping an eye on some of the smaller niches in the market, like gaming smartphones.

Mobile gaming is big business so it’s no surprise that at least a few companies are trying their hands at handsets built with gaming in mind, but the results are often hit-or-miss. I recently had the opportunity to spend some time with the two top smartphones built for gaming: the Razer Phone 2 and the Black Shark 2, and I have to admit that I am pleasantly surprised at how this particular smartphone niche is evolving.
