People auction off rare and incredible works of art every day, but this is one of the most unique auctions we have ever seen. An artist by the name of Guo O Dong collaborated with cybersecurity company Deep Instinct to load a Windows XP laptop with six of the most dangerous pieces of malware the world has ever seen, and now the laptop will be sold to the highest bidder, with the current bid set at an astounding $1,200,749.

Appropriately titled ‘The Persistence of Chaos,’ the art project is composed of a 2008 Samsung NC10-14GB 10.2-inch laptop running Windows XP Service Pack 3, a power cord, a restart script, and the aforementioned malware. In order to keep the malware from spreading, the laptop has been “isolated and airgapped.”

Avengers: Endgame is history and Spider-Man: Far From Home will conclude the third phase of Marvel Cinematic Universe films. Marvel and Disney will soon announce their plans for Phase 4 — we already know the dates of several upcoming MCU movies, although we don’t have the actual titles of those future movies. Separately, Disney is prepping a variety of MCU-based Disney+ shows that will star some of the actors we’re used to seeing in Avengers films. On top of that, Disney has just completed its Fox purchase, which means Marvel Studios has the rights to explore several additional Marvel properties, including X-Men, Fantastic Four, and Deadpool.

Of all the existing Marvel projects at Fox, only Deadpool has been kept in place — and now we’re finally getting the Deadpool-MCU news we’ve been dreaming of. A rumor says that Marvel is exploring ways to bring the Merc with a Mouth to the MCU, including one that involves Wade Wilson partnering with Peter Parker.

Apple and Huawei are both set to launch new flagships in the second half of the year, including the iPhone 11 and Huawei Mate 30 that will launch in September, and October, respectively. You can’t put a price on life, but that isn’t stopping Swiss drugmaker Novartis from trying. The company just scored approval from the U.S. Food and Drug Administration for a new treatment that could save the lives of hundreds of babies born in the United States each year. That is, as long as their parents’ pockets are deep enough.

As NPR reports, the medication, called Zolgensma, treats a condition called spinal muscular atrophy, a genetic defect that causes a rapid deterioration in nerves that control muscles. Babies stricken with the condition lose the ability to control their limbs, and eventually weaken to the point where they can’t eat or even breathe. The drug that could save their lives with a one-time treatment is now priced at a jaw-dropping $2.125 million.
