%name ‘MOONRISE’ project will use lasers to melt Moon dust by Authcom, Nova Scotia\s Internet and Computing Solutions Provider in Kentville, Annapolis Valley

Building a structure anywhere other than Earth is something that has never been done before… at least by mankind. We all like to imagine a colony of settlers eventually taking up residence on a place like Mars, but Earth’s Moon is the much more likely location for humans to construct the first off-world base.

MOONRISE — a project being undertaken by a collaboration including the Institute of Space Systems, the Technical University of Braunschweig, and the Laser Zentrum Hannover e.V — aims to make a lunar base reality, and the team behind it are taking a very futuristic approach.

This is how Kit Harington and Emilia Clarke found out Jon Snow would kill Daenerys

%name This is how Kit Harington and Emilia Clarke found out Jon Snow would kill Daenerys by Authcom, Nova Scotia\s Internet and Computing Solutions Provider in Kentville, Annapolis Valley

We’ve talked at length about how disappointing the final season of Game of Thrones was, but we’ve always made it clear that it’s the writing that ruined season 8. There’s no denying that a lot of work went into the final season, and we’ve got so many things to appreciate about Game of Thrones. The cinematography and music were two of the highlights of the season, as were the performances of several of the actors who did everything they could to make their characters shine.

HBO recently aired a Game of Thrones documentary that chronicles all the incredible effort that went into the final season of the series. The two-hour Game of Thrones: The Last Watch behind-the-scenes film delivered several tidbits from the final season, including an epic scene that shows us exactly how Kit Harington found out that his character would kill Daenerys in the finale. Thanks to an earlier interview with Emilia Clarke, we now know how both stars reacted to the news.

The mysterious SpaceX Crew Dragon explosion is still being investigated

%name The mysterious SpaceX Crew Dragon explosion is still being investigated by Authcom, Nova Scotia\s Internet and Computing Solutions Provider in Kentville, Annapolis Valley

SpaceX has been on a real hot streak as of late, with many successful missions and firsts, like the successful docking of its Crew Dragon capsule to the International Space Station. A small speed bump in that otherwise smooth road came in late April when a test of the Crew Dragon resulted in an explosion and total loss of the spacecraft.

Details regarding the accident have been hard to come by, and SpaceX waited quite a while before even acknowledging that it had lost the Crew Dragon in the incident. Several weeks have now passed and, despite a small info dump that came over a week after the explosion, the investigation into why the craft detonated remains ongoing.

Don’t ask how AirPods 2 are still discounted on Amazon, just get a pair

%name Don’t ask how AirPods 2 are still discounted on Amazon, just get a pair by Authcom, Nova Scotia\s Internet and Computing Solutions Provider in Kentville, Annapolis Valley

When Amazon first slashed the price of the Second-Generation Apple AirPods with Charging Case, we called it a “rare” deal. And of course it was, since brand new Apple products almost never get a discount, let alone the 12% discount Amazon offered on the AirPods 2. It has now been a few weeks though, and the price is still down to an all-time low of $139.99. So at this point, we can’t really call the deal “rare” anymore. We can tell you that you should hurry up and order a pair though, because once this deal is done there’s no telling if or when it will be back. Note that AirPods 2 are sold out right now, but you can still place your order to lock in the discount and they should ship within a few weeks.

Apple AirPods with Charging Case (Latest Model): $139.99

Here are the highlights from the product page:

  • Automatically on, automatically connected
  • Easy setup for all your Apple devices
  • Quick access to Siri by saying “Hey Siri”
  • Double-tap to play or skip forward
  • New Apple H1 headphone chip delivers faster wireless connection to your devices
  • Charges quickly in the case
  • Case can be charged using the Lightning connector
  • Rich, high-quality audio and voice
  • Seamless switching between devices
