One of the main themes of Apple’s WWDC 2019 keynote last week was privacy. Apple unveiled several new features for its various operating systems showing a renewed commitment to privacy at a time where its rivals are also making user privacy a top priority. Location data also came up during the presentation, with Apple unveiling a new location-specific feature that lets you instruct an app to use your location information only once. After that, the app will have to keep asking each time it wants to track you. On top of that, Apple will show you a map of the location data an app has acquired, as well as an explanation of why each particular app needs access to your location.

Anker made a name for itself by selling high-quality products at prices that are far more affordable than anything you’ll find from big brands. These days, however, there are other brands that have managed to undercut Anker’s already-low prices. That’s why it’s great when Amazon runs sales and you can get Anker’s superior products just as cheap as rival devices from Anker’s smaller partners. Such is the case with the Anker 10W Qi-Certified Wireless Charging Pad, which is currently available for just $9.99 after you clip the coupon on the Amazon page!

Wireless Charger, Anker 10W Qi-Certified Wireless Charging Pad, Compatible iPhone Xs Max/XR/XS…: $9.99

Here are the bullet points from the product page:

New report says the Galaxy Note 10 isn’t getting the new feature everyone wanted

%name New report says the Galaxy Note 10 isn’t getting the new feature everyone wanted by Authcom, Nova Scotia\s Internet and Computing Solutions Provider in Kentville, Annapolis Valley

Some recent rumors claimed that the Galaxy Note 10 will deliver Samsung’s fastest battery charging tech yet at a blistering 45W. Furthermore, a recent leak showed an unannounced Samsung charger spotted in the documentation the company filed with a South Korean regulatory body, prompting speculation that Samsung was indeed preparing to launch a 45W charger. However, we’ve got a brand new development, one that might upset Galaxy Note fans. It looks like Samsung is definitely working on 45W fast charging for upcoming phones, but the Note 10 won’t be one of them.

This leaked Pixel 4 XL video better be fake

%name This leaked Pixel 4 XL video better be fake by Authcom, Nova Scotia\s Internet and Computing Solutions Provider in Kentville, Annapolis Valley

Google’s Pixel smartphones are never best-sellers. In fact, top flagship phones from the likes of Apple and Samsung outsell Google’s Pixel lineup each year by an order of magnitude or even more. Pixel phones also aren’t the most powerful smartphones around, and they have never featured the most modern designs. Instead, they’re often far behind the times when it comes to smartphone design trends, and they launch so late in the year that it’s only a matter of a few months before flagship phones with next-generation Qualcomm Snapdragon processors begin hitting store shelves. So they’re not best-sellers, they’re not the most powerful phones on the market, and they have always featured designs that are behind the times… and yet they’re always among the most talked-about smartphones of the year among hardcore Android fans.

The explanation is fairly simple: Google’s Pixel smartphone lineup is the only smartphone lineup to offer a pure Android experience that’s free of vendor add-ons and bloatware. It’s also the only smartphone lineup guaranteed to have instant access to all of Google’s new Android software updates the moment they’re released. That’s why hardcore Android fans are so excited about the upcoming Pixel 4 and Pixel 4 XL phones that Google is readying for release, and now a new video claims to be the first to offer hands-on footage of the unreleased Pixel 4 XL flagship phone.

Samsung’s overhauled Galaxy Note 10 design shown again in new leaks

%name Samsung’s overhauled Galaxy Note 10 design shown again in new leaks by Authcom, Nova Scotia\s Internet and Computing Solutions Provider in Kentville, Annapolis Valley

Samsung’s Galaxy Fold is a complete and total failure at this point. The company was mere days away from launching its first smartphone with a foldable display when a number of reviewers found inexcusable defects with the Galaxy Fold’s design, and the release had to be canceled. That’s right, a bunch of bloggers are apparently better than a multi-billion dollar company at quality assurance. Samsung postponed the phone’s release and went to work on fixing it, but we would definitely suggest skipping the Fold even once the updated model launched. It’s a bad phone with a terrible design, and it’s a total waste of $2,000. Everyone knows that Samsung is horrible at first-generation products, so smart consumers will wait for the second- or even third-generation model, since Samsung excels at refining existing products, not introducing new ones.

If you want proof that Samsung is fantastic at refining its products, look no further than the Galaxy S10. Early Galaxy S phones were awful, plasticky iPhone copycats. Now, the Galaxy S10 is easily one of the sleekest and most powerful smartphones on the planet. Want more proof that Samsung is great at refinement? Just wait until you see the Galaxy Note 10 and Galaxy Note 10 Pro, which are set to be released in August.
