The newest Pixel 4 leak shows Google was wrong about the Pixel… again

%name The newest Pixel 4 leak shows Google was wrong about the Pixel… again by Authcom, Nova Scotia\s Internet and Computing Solutions Provider in Kentville, Annapolis Valley

Pixel fans have a lot way to go until the Pixel 4 launches, but there are plenty of reasons to be excited about the next-gen Google flagship, considering all the recent leaks out there. The phone is expected to feature a hole-punch display like the Galaxy S10, as well as a multi-lens camera that will look just like the camera module on the iPhone 11, at least considering what current iPhone 11 have to say. This wouldn’t be the first time Google copies the moves Apple makes, although in this case it’s more challenging to draw a clear conclusion, as both companies may have been working on the same rear-camera design simultaneously — others already pulled off a similar camera design last year, although the module was placed in the middle. But the Pixel 4 proves that Google was wrong about the Pixel again.

Facebook will launch even more Portal smart speakers this year

%name Facebook will launch even more Portal smart speakers this year by Authcom, Nova Scotia\s Internet and Computing Solutions Provider in Kentville, Annapolis Valley

In spite of all the privacy and user data abuse scandals that it had to face last year, Facebook still started selling its own smart speakers. Called Portal, the Facebook home devices target similar products from Amazon, Google, and Apple, although Facebook’s Portal comes with a special focus on video chatting. While the hardware and software features sound interesting enough for a product from this niche, the worst thing about the Portals is that you have to trust Facebook with protecting your data and protecting your privacy. And Facebook just confirmed it’s making even more Portal gadgets, which will hit stores later this fall.

Sleeping with the TV on is linked to weight gain, study says

%name Sleeping with the TV on is linked to weight gain, study says by Authcom, Nova Scotia\s Internet and Computing Solutions Provider in Kentville, Annapolis Valley

There are plenty of things that we all know can affect our weight. Cramming heaps of calorie-dense processed foods is a big no-no if you’re trying to get trim, and ensuring you’re getting plenty of exercise will help you keep the pounds off. Simple, right? Well, a new study published in JAMA Internal Medicine draws a very interesting link between a certain common lifestyle habit and overall weight gain, and it’s downright bizarre.

The study, which focused on women between the ages of 35 and 74, shows that sleeping with the TV on — or any other source of bright light in the bedroom — and gaining weight tend to go hand-in-hand. In fact, the data from a five-year period shows that those who have a TV or other light source on while they sleep gained over 10 pounds during that timeframe.

NASA wants to commercialize the International Space Station, and make heaps of cash doing it

%name NASA wants to commercialize the International Space Station, and make heaps of cash doing it by Authcom, Nova Scotia\s Internet and Computing Solutions Provider in Kentville, Annapolis Valley

NASA has big plans for its immediate future, including missions to Mars and of course the Moon 2024 effort that was completely unaccounted for in the most recent federal budget. When it comes to science, funding can be hard to come by, and many of NASA’s projects are pricey.

So, in the hopes of generating additional revenue that it can then use for its own scientific research efforts, NASA just announced a new effort to embrace commercial interests and open up the International Space Station to private business. New opportunities for commercial visits to the ISS are expected to come swiftly, with pricing already being hashed out.

Closing out the third day of press conferences at E3 2019, Square Enix is going to take the stage on Monday night at 6 PM PT / 9 PM ET to show us all they have in store for the coming months. Square Enix has something of a patchy record when it comes to E3 press conferences, but there are enough blockbuster titles expected to appear at this year’s gathering that the Japanese publisher could potentially have one of the best shows of E3.

One of those blockbuster games is Marvel’s Avengers, which will make its long-awaited debut during the conference. Developed by Crystal Dynamics (Shadow of the Tomb Raider), the game was announced in 2017, but we’ve still yet to see it in action. Will it connect to the MCU? We’ll find out tonight.
