Switch up your protein sources to live longer, study says

%name Switch up your protein sources to live longer, study says by Authcom, Nova Scotia\s Internet and Computing Solutions Provider in Kentville, Annapolis Valley

Studies focusing on potential links between consumption of red meat and overall life expectancy have long suggested that eating a lot of red meat — especially if it’s been processed — may increase overall mortality.

Consumption of processed red meat has been implicated in the rise of cardiovascular health issues in the past, and a new study seems to strongly support those earlier findings. The study, which was published in the journal BMJ, utilized health data and dietary habits of over 80,000 men and women, tracking the changes in red meat intake to draw broad trends over time.

%name Amazon is being sued over claims that Alexa ‘routinely records’ children by Authcom, Nova Scotia\s Internet and Computing Solutions Provider in Kentville, Annapolis Valley

Anyone who opens YouTube can find countless videos of children reacting with glee and amusement when conversing with Alexa, the digital voice assistant that powers Amazon’s smart speaker products. That’s to be expected, given that Amazon quickly solidified an entrenched market leadership position in the smart speaker category, with its line of Echo devices and the like now a staple of many ordinary consumers’ homes.

But is there a privacy cost to that ubiquity? A pair of lawsuits seeking class-action status against Amazon would argue, emphatically, yes.
