Brand new Pixel 4 leak shows the display design and new mint color option

%name Brand new Pixel 4 leak shows the display design and new mint color option by Authcom, Nova Scotia\s Internet and Computing Solutions Provider in Kentville, Annapolis Valley

After a series of leaks revealed the Pixel 4’s purported design, suggesting the phone will look a lot like the iPhone 11 when it comes to rear camera’s design and placement, Google posted a teaser image of the unannounced handset (above), practically confirming all these leaks. Since then, other leaks claimed that Google had been working on three distinct Pixel 4 designs, before choosing the one it teased. And we got to see a photo of a prototype discovered in the wild somewhere in London. Sadly, only the rear side of the phone was photographed, complete with that square-shaped camera module. We never got to see the front side of the phone, not from Google, at least. But a new series of renders give us a look at what the Pixel 4’s display design will look like, and tease a new color for the next Google flagship.

Poll finds Americans are worried about asteroids, don’t care about the Moon

%name Poll finds Americans are worried about asteroids, don’t care about the Moon by Authcom, Nova Scotia\s Internet and Computing Solutions Provider in Kentville, Annapolis Valley

As we creep closer to the 50th anniversary of the first Moon landing, NASA is doing its best to drum up support for a return mission that would see its astronauts once again roaming the lunar surface. With such an exciting mission on the horizon, you’d think that public interest in a Moon return would be pretty high. It isn’t.

In fact, a new poll by the Associated Press in partnership with the NORC Center for Public Affairs Research suggests that Americans are much more interested in things that could possibly kill them — like asteroids or comets — than another crewed visit to the Moon.

Despite the US ban, Huawei is still China’s most attractive employer

%name Despite the US ban, Huawei is still China’s most attractive employer by Authcom, Nova Scotia\s Internet and Computing Solutions Provider in Kentville, Annapolis Valley

The Trump administration’s inclusion of Huawei on a blacklist that bans US companies from doing business with the Chinese consumer electronics giant has generated at least one surprising side effect.

Despite the fact that international vendor firms are starting to cut off the company, which stands to lose critical partners like Google and Facebook as a result of the ban, Chinese engineering students have for the second year in a row voted Huawei as the most attractive employer in the country — the place where many of them are still highly interested in finding a job.

We’re now just one month away from the 50th anniversary of NASA’s Apollo 11 mission to the Moon, and owners of some seriously sought-after space relics are putting their memorabilia on the auction block in the hopes of capitalizing on the hype.

RR Auction is hosting the bidding for a number of rare artifacts that traveled to the Moon decades ago and as you might expect, prices are out of this world. Among the items being offered is a roll of 70 mm film that was taken to the Moon during the Apollo 11 mission, as well as an American Flag that traveled around the Moon during the Apollo 15 campaign.

This haptic feedback concept for the Netflix app is kind of brilliant

%name This haptic feedback concept for the Netflix app is kind of brilliant by Authcom, Nova Scotia\s Internet and Computing Solutions Provider in Kentville, Annapolis Valley

At Netflix’s most recent internal hackathon — the yearly session where employees of the streaming giant group together into teams and kick around creative ideas outside of their normal jobs — one team had an idea for a way to make watching content on the mobile app more satisfyingly immersive.

They call it the Rumble Pack, and it’s a haptic feedback concept that would make your phone shake and rumble in sync with the action you’re seeing on the screen while watching Netflix.

Patients of rude surgeons have more problems after surgery, study says

%name Patients of rude surgeons have more problems after surgery, study says by Authcom, Nova Scotia\s Internet and Computing Solutions Provider in Kentville, Annapolis Valley

Having surgery — even minor surgery — can be an incredibly stressful experience for any patient. Placing trust in a surgeon is often frightening, even if that surgeon is impeccably trained and highly skilled, but a new study suggests that the level of professionalism a surgeon exhibits when interacting with colleagues can be an indicator of how well his or her patients do after enduring a surgical procedure.

The research, which was published in the journal JAMA Surgery, found that surgeons who have hostile working relationships with their peers tend to have more post-surgery issues with those they’ve operated on. The data suggests that an unprofessional approach to their jobs has a direct impact on the recovery of their patients.

Huawei’s Mate X 2 concept fixes everything that the Galaxy Fold got wrong

%name Huawei’s Mate X 2 concept fixes everything that the Galaxy Fold got wrong by Authcom, Nova Scotia\s Internet and Computing Solutions Provider in Kentville, Annapolis Valley

The Galaxy Fold foldable smartphone isn’t just delayed, it’s also terribly ugly, but that’s the compromise early adopters will have to accept. The phone itself is a compromise because we’re in the early stages of foldables. That said, Huawei came up with a gorgeous foldable that looks a lot better than Samsung’s first handset.

And that’s probably because Huawei placed the foldable screen on the exterior, while the Fold’s main screen is found on the inside of the handset. That doesn’t mean Huawei isn’t considering Fold-like devices, though, and its patent for such a device already looks like a major improvement over Samsung’s foldable Galaxy.
