Hanging out on the shores of a lake here on Earth is often a nice, relaxing way to spend an afternoon, but the same most definitely isn’t true on Saturn’s moon Titan. Aside from the incredibly frigid temperatures, scientists now believe that lakes on the icy moon are likely lined with “alien crystals” that we’d never see here at home.

The research, which was presented this week at the 2019 Astrobiology Science Conference, reveals that the ultra-cold temperatures on Titan’s surface cause compounds like butane and acetylene to freeze together and form crystals. Such crystals are never seen in nature here on Earth, but scientists managed to create their own in carefully-controller laboratory conditions.

If you rewind the clock back a bit to before Samsung’s disastrous aborted launch of its Galaxy Fold smartphone that was supposed to have been in April, you may recall the company’s lofty ambitious that looked beyond the first iteration of this new device. We were hearing estimates last year that Samsung wanted to start the Galaxy Fold’s initial production run at a minimum of 1 million units and that the Fold also wouldn’t be a one-off. That the company, in other words, was hoping to release a new version of the foldable phone every year, the same way it does with its Galaxy flagship devices.

Fast forward to today. We still don’t know when Samsung will try again for a release the Galaxy Fold, but it does appear the company is still thinking beyond it, in terms of other foldable devices.

Keanu Reeves is having a moment. He seems to be in everything lately, whether it’s a cameo appearance in a Netflix movie, a starring role in a video game, or the titular character of an action blockbuster. He has even made his way on to my monthly list of movies and shows you should watch before they depart Netflix, as all three Matrix movies are being removed on July 1st. Keanu Reeves giveth, and Keanu Reeves taketh away.

Some other notable departures include Chasing Amy (Kevin Smith’s best movie), Punch-Drunk Love (Adam Sandler’s best movie), and Pan’s Labyrinth (Guillermo del Toro’s best movie). And while it’s not exactly my cup of tea, all seven seasons of Pretty Little Liars are leaving Netflix too, and people seem to really like that show.
