Forget the burgers, forget the beer, and forget the barbecue. Forget the fireworks, forget the parades, and forget and all of the festivities you would normally enjoy on July 4th. Why? Because something even better is happening this coming Independence Day: Netflix is releasing Stranger Things season 3 in its entirety!

Our favorite crew of 80s kids is back for a third season, and it may very well be the most hotly anticipated release of the year for Netflix. Season 1 was an instant classic and season 2 went dark. This time around, early word is that we can expect Stranger Things season 3 to pack all the fun of season 1 and all the terror of season 2 into eight new episodes. Expectations couldn’t be higher, but if there’s one team that can deliver it’s the Duffer brothers et al.

There’s no question whatsoever that Stranger Things season 3 is the most hotly anticipated release coming to Netflix this month, but it’s hardly the only new release. In fact, everyone’s favorite source of streaming entertainment will be releasing 44 new original movies, specials, and full seasons of shows. Highlights include the final season of Orange is the New Black and a new season of Jerry Seinfeld’s popular show, Comedians in Cars Getting Coffee

The iPhone X brought over a new smartphone design that everyone in the business ended up copying, the notch display that was a necessary compromise between form and function. It was also the phone’s signature feature. The phone featured an all-screen display like no other device, and the clones never came close to replicating it. But it also had that partial bezel at the top that accommodates the most sophisticated smartphone authentication system out there — also something the clones never got right. With the iPhone 11, we’re expecting a similar design compromise thanks to all the leaks we’ve seen so far this year, and a brand new set of CAD designs that made their way online seem to give further credence to these rumors.

If you’re worried about running into angry wildlife while on a nice jog, chances are you’re afraid of stumbling across a bear or mountain lion on a scenic forest trail, or even a feral dog in the city. On the island of Jersey, which sits between England and France, they fear something entirely different: Wild chickens.

A recent report from News.co.uk reveals that feral chickens have been making life a bit more difficult for residents of the island, which is the largest of the Channel Islands. The chickens, which lack predators on the isolated landmass, are reproducing unchecked and now pose an issue for joggers, gardeners, and anyone who prefers to sleep past sunrise.

No surprise, the Twitch game streaming site owned by Amazon has a number of plans in store for this year’s Prime Day event, plans that include everything from myriad giveaways to even a live-streamed shopping show that sounds a little like something you’d see on the QVC network.

The live event that will be launched is Twitch Sells Out, a shopping channel hosted by Twitch celebrities (who haven’t been announced yet) and which will feature Prime Day gaming deals.
