Marvel invited Avengers fans back to theaters for an Avengers: Endgame re-release that delivered bonus content as well as an exclusive poster for fans. It was all done in the name of beating Avatar at the box office, a marketing effort that failed — reports say the film might need another re-release to make up the extra $26 million it still needs to surpass Avatar. Many fans did watch the Endgame in theaters again though, and Endgame netted another $5.5 million in the US alone this past weekend. However, not all fans were happy about those extra six minutes of bonus content, and there’s some backlash. Curious about it but don’t want to pay to see Endgame again? For the second time in two weeks, a huge chunk of the internet is inaccessible due to a sudden outage. Whereas last week’s outage was traced back to Verizon, this seems to be a Cloudflare issue, as the Cloudflare status page reveals that the company is investigating network performance issues impacting countless sites and services.

This isn’t nearly as significant as the outage we experienced last week, which saw the likes of Google, Amazon, and Reddit all go down for extended periods of time, but it’s yet another sign of just how fragile the networks that serve as the backbone of the internet can be. And the proximity to the last outage just highlights this issue.

Alexa on Amazon’s Echo smart speakers is absolutely fantastic. Honestly, I don’t think I would ever want to live without it at this point. But Alexa on Amazon’s Fire TV remote is horrible. Alexa just can’t handle dictation well for some reason, and it makes entering things like searches, user names, and passwords a real pain in the butt. Samsung just confirmed an earlier leak that said its exciting new Galaxy Note 10 and Galaxy Note 10+ will be officially announced on August 7th. They’re going to feature completely overhauled designs with triple-lens cameras and hole-punch, all-screen displays. These new Notes are expected to be two of Samsung’s best smartphones ever, and yet most of the tech world is still looking beyond August into September, when Apple is set to unveil the iPhone 11, iPhone 11 Max, and iPhone 11R, or whatever the company’s next-generation iPhone series ends up being called. These new iPhones will look just like last year’s iPhone models from the front, but flip them over and you’ll find the most exciting addition to the iPhone lineup in 2019: Brand new triple-lens cameras on the iPhone 11 and iPhone 11 Max, and an upgraded dual-lens camera on the iPhone 11 R.

We still don’t know about all of the marquees features Apple has in store for the iPhone 11 series in September, but we do know that the camera will play a huge role.
