If there’s one thing that Microsoft has excelled at over the past year, it’s providing the Xbox One with a constant stream of significant updates. After a rocky pre-launch campaign that arguably doomed the Xbox One to fall behind the PlayStation 4 on the sales charts, Microsoft’s console slowly caught up with and eventually surpassed the PS4 in terms of added functionality.
The media player is just the latest example of this, but in an interview with The Inner Circle Podcast, Xbox head Phil Spencer made it clear that there’s still plenty on the way.

On Wednesday, about 1,000 workers at a Foxconn factory in southwest China reportedly walked off the job to go on strike. Foxconn said workers walked off the job for about four hours at the factory in Chongqing, where they’re demanding higher pay after a recent increase in production and reduction in overtime.

Samsung is certainly going through a rough patch right now as its quarterly profits have continued on an alarming downward trajectory. Popular photo sharing site Imgur on Thursday announced a new initiative called Project GIFV that it says is “reimagining the looping GIF video with all the richness it deserves as a key piece of Internet culture.”

One of the new Siri-related features Apple introduced in iOS 8 is the “Hey Siri” hotword that gives a device always-on listening abilities when it’s plugged in and charging. The feature doesn’t work when an iPhone or iPad is disconnected from the power supply, likely a measure meant to conserve battery life, but iDownloadBlog reports there’s a way to enjoy “Hey Siri” all the time, without having to charge the device at the same time.
