Apple is far from launching its first smartwatch in stores, but once it starts selling its various Apple Watch models it might not brag with sales numbers as it usually does with its most popular products. Specifically, Business Insider points out that the Apple Watch won’t have its own product category, at least when it comes to announcing quarterly results, as the device will be part of a category of devices that also includes the Apple TV and iPods.

Motorola, HTC and Sony have already mentioned plans to upgrade some devices to Android 5.0 Lollipop, but Samsung, which doesn’t have a great track record when it comes to providing timely Android updates to its devices, has yet to say anything on the matter. However, in a new post on Twitter promoting the Galaxy Note 4 phablet, the company seems to be hinting at a future Lollipop update for the device.

After previewing OS X 10.10 Yosemite this past summer during its annual WWDC developer conference, Apple finally released its new desktop software to an eager public last week. Yosemite features a complete visual overhaul and plenty of new functionality as well, but the most talked-about new feature set is definitely Continuity, which is a series of features that integrate Mac computers more deeply with iPhones and iPads.

For some people, switching from Android to iOS or vice versa is a difficult thing to do, not only because they may have invested money in a certain ecosystem via apps and other digital content purchases, but also because they might find it difficult to move the data they care about most, including contacts, pictures, music and others. Luckily, there are official guides for that. After Apple put up a guide for switching from Android to iOS, Google has also set up a special iOS-to-Android page on its Android site, just in time for the arrival of the new Nexus 6 smartphone and ahead of the Android 5.0 Lollipop launch.

The terrifying picture above is a blister beetle photographed with a Macroscopic Solutions Macropod. The company’s website describes its product as “a rigid, portable photomacrography system, which allows the user to make razor sharp, fully focused photographs of small sized specimens at 18 to 26-megapixel resolution.”
What the Macropod can do is take multiple three-dimensional images, merge them together, and create a single ultra-hi-def image using its software.

Following the official release of Apple’s latest desktop operating system, news broke that OS X Yosemite secretly sends Spotlight search data to Apple (including location information), even though the company doubled down on privacy and security more than once in recent weeks. However, things aren’t as bad as you might think, and Apple’s data collection is done in a specific way that actually prevents the company from tracking you. Finally, data collection isn’t covert because Apple clearly explains it, and it can be easily turned off if you so desire, something Apple also explains how to do.
