Google’s Nexus 6 launch has been a curious one so far, with the handset being scarcely available in the U.S. from the Google Play Store and Motorola, where the first limited Nexus 6 batches have sold out incredibly fast. Google did say that more Nexus 6 stock is expected in the Google Play Store each Wednesday, with the Search giant not ready yet to confirm Nexus 6 launch dates for its carrier partners. However, the company at least mentioned more details about the international Nexus 6 launch, revealing prices in the process.

After a number of 128GB iPhone 6 Plus owners who had installed a large number of apps on their devices complained about unexpected crashes and reboots, a report from South Korea suggested Apple might considering a recall for the device, as the bug might be caused by a certain type of memory modules. The report has been refuted since, with 9to5Mac saying Apple is aware of the limited issue, and Digitimes adding that memory makers said that particular memory isn’t at fault for crashes.

But now, Business Korea said on Friday that Apple is apparently ready to replace that particular memory type (triple-level cell NAND or TLC NAND) from 128GB iPhone 6 Plus and 64GB iPhone 6 units in order to avoid similar issues in the future. Apparently, in addition to some 128GB iPhone 6 Plus owners, some 64GB iPhone 6 buyers have also experienced similar crashes.

More and more reports are detailing Samsung’s next flagship handset, the Galaxy S6 “Project Zero” that’s supposed to launch next year, with Samsung said to be creating the handset from scratch rather than simply improving on previous Galaxy S models. While the Galaxy S6 is far from becoming official, The Korea Herald notes new speculation that Samsung might be planning a bold new design for the Galaxy S6, even more interesting than the Galaxy Note Edge curved handset — that is, if you like having special displays on the phone’s edges.

The world has Android 5.0 fever, and while most Android device owners will have to wait until next year at the earliest to get Lollipop on their phones and tablets, enthusiastic Google fans don’t have to wait another minute. We told you earlier this week that near-final versions of Android 5.0 Lollipop had been made available for some Android devices, including the Google’s “pure” Nexus 5 and Nexus 4 smartphones, as well as one version of the Nexus 7 tablet.

Well, thanks to the XDA Developers forum, the latest version of Android 5.0 can now be downloaded and installed on those devices and many others.
