Samsung is continuing its Galaxy Note 4 marketing push with new humorous ads that also happen to show some of the highlights of the phone, with a particular focus on one of the features that differentiates the Note series from other smartphones, the S Pen. Part of Samsung’s Do You Note? series, the three new short ads have already been posted on Samsung Mobile’s YouTube account, and can be seen after the break.

Most ISPs were quick to denounce President Obama’s net neutrality plan in apocalyptic terms on Monday, which isn’t too surprising considering they were really looking forward to being able to charge extra for Internet fast lanes under FCC chairman Tom Wheeler’s plan. Everyone with an Android device is waiting anxiously for their turn to download Android 5.0 Lollipop, but it looks like LG G3 owners will be the first to get their chance later this week. LG announced on Sunday that the G3 would be the very first phone to receive the 5.0 update, which should begin rolling out in Poland this week and other markets in the near future.

Awesome news for everyone who plans on buying Apple products for friends and family this holiday season — you’ll be able to get a nice head start, provided you’re willing to wake up nice and early on Black Friday. AppleInsider’s sources say that “many” Apple retail outlets are going to be open starting at 8 a.m. on November 28th, which is actually a couple of hours later than when the company opened stores last year but still earlier than their normal opening times.

Android and iOS app developers are largely responsible for making each platform as great as it is, and the importance of a large, high-quality mobile application ecosystem cannot be stressed enough — just ask BlackBerry and Microsoft. Every new app a user downloads and installs on his or her smartphone or tablet adds great new functionality that would have otherwise never existed. Researchers at California-based cybersecurity firm FireEye have detailed what they claim to be a major new security vulnerability that has been found in Apple’s iOS 8 software. The security flaw, which they have dubbed “Masque Attack,” reportedly allows an attacker to replace authentic apps on a target’s iPhone or iPad with a similar app with the same appearance. Any data then entered into the app can be obtained by the hacker.
For example, an app that mirrors the look of a banking app on the user’s phone can be installed, and then the target’s username and password can be stolen when he or she tries to enter them in the malicious app.
