Why Captain America’s ‘Avengers: Endgame’ arc is so satisfying [SPOILERS]
Avengers: Endgame is finally here, which means we know exactly what happens with Earth’s mightiest heroes after the heartbreaking end of Infinity War. It’s an emotional adventure, it’s funny, and it’s full of action and callbacks to previous titles from the Marvel Cinematic Universe. It’s all you expect and more, and absolutely worth seeing in cinemas as soon as possible (read our spoiler-free review right here).
But, as expected, Endgame is also controversial with its choices, and some diehard fans might not accept everything writers Christopher Markus and Stephen McFeely have imagined, under the supervision of the Russo brothers and Kevin Feige. In the following post, we’ll tell you why Steve Rogers’ story in Endgame makes perfect sense, but not before warning you about the huge spoilers that are about to follow.

Everything new coming to Netflix this week, and everything leaving (week of Apr. 28)
I haven’t actually done the math, but this may very well be the busiest week in Netflix streaming since we started doing this feature a few months ago. With the first of the month landing on Wednesday of this week, we are gaining (and losing) a ton of licensed content. Some of the additions include Austin Powers, Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas, Scarface, Snowpiercer, and The Da Vinci Code, while Jaws and Watchmen are both leaving.
As for Netflix originals, Tuca & Bertie (from BoJack Horseman’s Lisa Hanawalt) has my interest piqued, as does Dead to Me and Knock Down the House. But whatever your tastes are, there’s sure to be something new worth adding to your queue by the time the week is over.

Why Tony Stark’s emotional ‘Avengers: Endgame’ arc makes complete sense [SPOILERS]
Avengers: Endgame is finally out in theaters, and we finally found out what Marvel had planned for the original six Avengers in the aftermath of that brutal Infinity War ending. We’ve known for a while now that the Marvel contracts of several actors expire after Endgame, including Robert Downey Jr., Chris Evans, and Chris Hemsworth. And we’ve been anticipating retirement plans or death for at least two of the original Avengers, especially Iron Man and Captain America. It didn’t help that Kevin Feige told us all along that Avengers 4 is a story that brings closure to the first decade of MCU movies, or that the same directors who shocked MCU fans on three separate occasions were in charge of Endgame as well. With that in mind, some fans might not like the Avengers 4 ending or the arcs of some of their favorite characters. We’ve just explained why Thor’s arc makes sense in Endgame, and we’re about to do the same with Tony Stark. As before, several major spoilers follow below, so proceed only if you’ve seen the film.

Never mind the outcry: Netflix knows ‘The Office’ won’t be this popular forever
Andy Bernard, the lovable sad sack played by Ed Helms for several seasons of NBC’s The Office, muses aloud at one point during the super-emotional series finale that he wishes there was a way to know you’re in the good old days “before you’ve actually left them.”
The outcry this week over news that NBC has finally begun taking steps to pull The Office from Netflix — which won’t happen anytime soon, but still — was predictably swift and overwhelmingly incredulous. It might also have you believe that fans of the nine-season workplace comedy will, like Andy Bernard, similarly lament the end of the good old days if the Dunder Mifflin crew ever breaks all our hearts and moves to a new streaming home.

The Russo brothers’ fourth MCU title is playing in theaters across the known universe as we speak, breaking countless box office records and raking in positive reviews — here’s our spoiler-free take on Avengers: Endgame. As in previous films, including the last two Captain America movies (The Winter Soldier and Civil War), as well as Avengers: Infinity War, Endgame will also deliver plenty of controversial choices.

There are plenty of other character choices the Russos made together with Kevin Feige and the writers behind these four films that fans might not like. In what follows, I’m going to tell you why Thor’s arc makes perfect sense in Endgame, no matter what your initial reaction might be. Before I explain, remember that huge spoilers will follow below, and you should watch the film before proceeding.

Gee, I wonder why Imax predicts that 2019 will be its strongest year ever?
On the same day that Avengers: Endgame opens wide in the US, Imax on Friday delivered word to Wall Street that the latest Marvel title — which, incidentally, was shot with Imax cameras — will help the large-screen theater company make good on an impressive prediction.
2019, the company estimated in tandem with delivering its latest quarterly earnings results, will go down as Imax’s best box office year ever, driven in part by the record-breaking audience demand for Endgame.
