Apple Watch Series 4 models are still on sale at their lowest prices ever
The Apple Watch Series 4 was first released back in September last year, about seven months ago. In all that time, the biggest discount we’ve seen that was more than just a flash sale came from Amazon, and it only shaved $15 off the Series 4’s price. That all changed last week, however, when a huge sale came from out of nowhere and slashed $50 off the price of the wildly popular Apple Watch Series 4. If you missed it, we have good news: the sale is still going right now! The $50 discount applies to six different Apple Watch Series 4 models, including three 40mm watches and three 44mm versions. Space Gray and Silver aluminum models are both covered, so make sure you click around on Amazon to check them all out. Just be sure to do it soon, because there’s no telling when this big sale will end.

Apple’s new iPhone 11 design leaked by multiple reliable sources
This week, we should learn when Samsung will finally release its first smartphone with a foldable display, the Galaxy Fold. The handset was supposed to launch last month but in addition to being a terribly ugly handset, it also ended up being a piece of junk. Hopefully by the time Samsung actually releases the $2,000 phone, it’ll only be ugly.
In addition to possibly Galaxy Fold news, the most powerful Android smartphone of the year so far will debut on Tuesday. The OnePlus 7 Pro is rumored to be launching alongside two other new OnePlus models, and it’s expected to feature an exciting new all-screen design that’ll be the first of its kind here in the United States.
Several other nifty new Android phones are set to hit store shelves in the coming months, including not one but two new Galaxy Note 10 handsets that should launch in early August. Despite all of these imminent releases, however, most of the attention of the rumor mill has already turned to Apple’s upcoming new smartphones, the iPhone 11, iPhone 11 Max, and iPhone 11R (or whatever Apple ends up calling its new 2019 iPhone models). We’ve already seen several leaks describing the trio’s new designs and features, so we have a pretty good idea of what to expect come September. If you’re still unconvinced despite everything you’ve seen so far, two sources that have been reliable in the past both just leaked Apple’s iPhone 11 design and firmed up everything we’ve seen and heard.

Switching to a Pixel 3a from any iPhone newer than the iPhone 6 is just silly
Google last week unveiled the Pixel 3a series and launched a trade-in promo that would allow you to swap an older smartphone for either the Pixel 3a or the Pixel 3a XL. Google indicated it would be willing to pay you up to $610 for an iPhone XS Max trade-in towards a Pixel 3a/XL purchase. But switching from an iPhone flagship to a Pixel 3a mid-range phone is incredibly silly unless you decide to switch an iPhone 6 or older for Google’s new phone.

‘Game of Thrones’ episode 5 is incredible, but only if you pretend it’s the first episode of the season
We’re one episode away from the Game of Thrones finale that we’ve been dying to see for the past two years, and all I can say is good riddance. It doesn’t matter what happens at this point. D. B. Weiss and David Benioff only needed four episodes to ruin the best TV show ever made, with chapter 4 easily taking the cake for stupid. And it’s not the actual death of some of our beloved characters that hurts. It’s the writing that killed the entire show.
There is a way to enjoy last night’s episode, The Bells, but only if we ignored everything that happened so far in the season. Before we put a pin in episodes 1-4 and pretend they never existed, remember that massive spoilers follow below.

The Google Play Store is nagging some users to get rid of old apps
There have been a handful of updates to the Google Play Store’s operation that garnered headlines in recent days, such as the news that apps’ rating calculations will start being more heavily weighted toward the most recent user ratings. Meanwhile, some users have started seeing something new from the Play Store — a notification gently reminding them to remove apps they may have downloaded years ago and long since stopped using.

Everything new coming to Netflix this week, and everything leaving (week of May 12)
Any week with more Nailed It! — one of the stupidest and most joyous cooking shows ever made — is a good week. Therefore, this is a pretty good week for Netflix releases! In addition to a new season of Nailed It!, we’re also getting new seasons of The Rain and White Gold. The highlight of the week might be See You Yesterday, which is a time travel adventure from producer Spike Lee and first-time director Stefon Bristol.
The only departure is a large collection of old Bill Nye, The Science Guy episodes, so if you need your nostalgia fix, be sure to get it before the collection is removed from Netflix on Wednesday, May 15th.

Researcher claims life may still exist on Mars, but it’s probably hiding
As far as we know, there’s no life that currently exists on Mars. Missions to the Red Planet have yielded tantalizing clues that life may have existed at some point in the past, but no living organisms have ever been spotted by any rover or other hardware humans have sent to Mars.
But Mars is a big place. Despite several rover missions and other trips to the planet we’ve still only barely scratched the surface of the secrets Mars may hold, and there’s still the possibility that life in some form persists there. At least that’s what Michael Finney, a researcher and co-found of The Genome Partnership, believes, and he said as much during a recent conference at UC Berkeley.
