‘Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse’ is coming to Netflix
Soon after Avengers: Endgame was released last month, we learned the film will not be available for online streaming until much later this year, and it’ll be a Disney+ exclusive. Following Disney’s purchase of Fox and Hulu, and the launch of Disney+, it’s probably safe to say that future stories based on the rich Marvel Cinematic Universe will be available exclusively on Disney’s streaming platforms for at least a while after they’re released. Some of the upcoming titles might not make it to competing platforms at all. When it comes to Spider-Man films, however, that’s a different deal since Marvel doesn’t own the rights to Spider-Man. That’s why it’s not too surprising that Sony’s latest Spider-Man flick, the critically acclaimed Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse animated feature, will hit Netflix next month.

Microsoft’s latest Windows 10 update is out, and it fixes the worst thing about Windows updates
Microsoft last month announced a new Windows 10 policy that seems to fix the worst thing about Windows updates in general. The company decided to finally let you choose when or even if you want to install the latest Windows 10 version, and that’s great news considering that last year’s major Windows 10 updates were plagued by a few annoying problems, including “Blue Screen of Death” issues in April and those aggravating file deletions that followed the October Update. This brings us to Microsoft’s next major Windows 10 release, the May 2019 Update, which is available for download right away — and don’t worry, because it should be safe to install.

Justice Department says that the T-Mobile-Sprint merger should be blocked
Just days after the FCC came out in favor of the T-Mobile-Sprint merger that has been brewing for the past several years, the U.S. Department of Justice has thrown a wrench in the works. Sources familiar with the matter tell Reuters that the Antitrust Division of the DOJ has recommended that the agency file suit in order to block T-Mobile’s proposed $26 billion merger deal with Sprint, setting up a potential clash between the DOJ and the FCC.
As Reuters notes, the decision on whether or not to follow through with the Antitrust Division’s recommendation lies in the hands of political appointees within the department and should be made in about a month.

Behold: This is the iPhone 11, but without that massive camera bump
As sure as we are that Apple will release new iPhone models each September, we’re also sure that a vocal minority of people will find something silly to complain about when those new iPhones are released. And thanks to all the leaks and rumors we’re privy to each year, we actually don’t even have to wait for those new iPhones to hit store shelves to see what people’s complaints will focus on each year. We already know everything there is to know about the upcoming iPhone 11 series design, which will look quite similar to Apple’s iPhone XS design from last year and its iPhone X design from the year before. That’s right, just as it did with the iPhone 6 design that stuck around for three consecutive years, Apple plans to reuse the same design once again for three years in a row.
With the iPhone 7, Apple decided to make a few minor design changes in an effort to freshen things up a bit. After all, people had been accustomed to seeing the same iPhone design two years in a row, and then a fresh new design every other year. The iPhone 7 introduced two new color options, matte black and “Jet Black,” and it also introduced a dual-lens camera that enabled Portrait Mode photos and 2x optical zoom. Fast forward to 2019 and Apple is using the same script yet again. A report from the world’s top Apple insider several months ago said that the iPhone 11 and iPhone 11 Max will use new frosted glass backs to change the look a bit, and it might even come in a new finish. Then on the camera front, Apple is moving from the dual-lens setup we all know to a triple-lens configuration for the main camera. Therein lies the source of people’s complaints this time around, and a new set of renders imagines what Apple’s next-generation flagship phones would look like without the big camera bump everyone is talking about.

Huawei’s Android replacement sounds a lot like the mysterious Google OS that might replace Android
Huawei is at the center of the US vs. China trade war right now, as the Trump administration imposed a massive import ban on the Chinese conglomerate that has huge implications. Not only will Huawei be able to buy hardware components and license operating systems like Android until the matters are resolved, but Huawei’s partners will receive a significant financial blow as well. We saw this happen before with a different Chinese company before, and the temporary import ban nearly forced ZTE out of business. Huawei, on the other hand, will continue to fight the decision, and the company may soon release its own Android fork, an operating system that sounds a lot like Google’s mysterious OS that’s supposed to replace Android in the future.
