Galaxy Note 10 tipped to have a radical new design… unless it doesn’t
For weeks now, we kept hearing two different types of rumors about the Android phones set to launch in the second half of the year. On the one hand, a Samsung insider kept teasing some revolutionary handset designs from several top vendors, including Samsung and Huawei. On the other hand, the same leaker revealed the Galaxy Note 10 would not be a Galaxy S10 replica, featuring a couple of important changes. This brings us to the latest Galaxy Note 10 rumor that tells us the phone will deliver a few radical changes that we didn’t see coming. But the rumor is already being disputed.

Reuters: Amazon wants to buy Boost after the T-Mobile-Sprint merger
Amazon seems to be interested in operating its own cellular network, a report claims, as the giant retailer is looking at a potential Boost purchase. Boost is Sprint’s prepaid brand, which the carrier would have to get rid off, alongside wireless spectrum, in the event its merger with T-Mobile is approved.

Newly-discovered fossilized school of fish is like a snapshot in time
Finding a single fossil of an animal that died some 50 million years ago is cool. Finding two? That’s just plain awesome. But what about finding 259 of them at once? Well, there just isn’t a word in the English language to describe that level of greatness.
That’s exactly what researchers from Arizona State University and Japan’s Mizuta Memorial Museum uncovered hiding within a big chunk of limestone in the fossil hotspot known as the Green River Formation. The hundreds of tiny fossils are what’s left of a school of tiny fish that happened to be in the wrong place at the wrong time, and the discovery is helping scientists better understand how ancient fish behaved.

Brooklyn apartment residents revolt against plan for face-tracking cameras
Atlantic Plaza Towers is an apartment complex in Brooklyn where the landlord has been making preparations to add another layer to existing security elements that include cameras, security guards and key fobs that govern access to the complex.
The new element is a facial recognition system that has creeped out some tenants enough that a group of more than 130 of them has reportedly filed an official complaint with the state, citing privacy concerns. And it’s a development that comes as San Francisco just days ago became the first US city to outright ban the technology’s use by police and government officials, even as its use continues to expand around the country.

Here’s the first trailer for Pixar’s next original feature ‘Onward’
We may have sounded a little extreme when we predicted back in December that Onward, Pixar’s next original feature slated for release on March 6, 2020, would easily recapture the magic of the beloved animation studio’s glory days and tap into the same storytelling and visual prowess that gave us gems like Toy Story.
Take a look at the just-released trailer for the film, though, and see if you don’t agree. Pixar made public this first look at footage from the film tonight during the NBA finals, and you can check it out below.

Xbox free Games with Gold for June 2019
It wouldn’t have taken much for Microsoft to top its Games with Gold offering for May, but it only barely did so with the four free games coming to Xbox Live Gold subscribers next month. The highlight of the selection is NHL 19, which is actually a really solid sports game, and belongs in your library if you like hockey.
Rivals of Aether is the other Xbox One title, and if you’re dying for a platform fighter kid, but don’t have a Switch with which to play Super Smash Bros. Ultimate, this should help tide you over. And if neither of those games piques your interest, you can always just play Portal, which is still one of the best games ever made.

Astronomers spot dozens of stars that have been evicted from their homes
We often think of stars as things that don’t move around much, but in some galaxies, that’s far from a universal truth. New observations made by NASA’s powerful Chandra X-Ray Observatory reveal that some stars are routinely booted out of their own host galaxies and sent flying back out into space.
The researchers spotted dozens of binary star pairs that had been, for lack of a better term, evicted from their homes after one of the two stars explodes into a supernova.

Apple, Google and Microsoft are fighting to keep your encrypted chats private
Just as more tech companies are starting to see the light when it comes to privacy and security, intelligence agencies would still like to be able to spy on encrypted communication, whether it’s text chats or calls.
The same goes for the British spies at GCHQ, who proposed back in November that they should be able to eavesdrop on encrypted messages. Several companies, including Apple, Google, Microsoft, WhatsApp, and others, have responded to GCHQ, criticizing its push to undermine the security of end-to-end encryption.

Gogo will launch a 5G in-flight network in 2021
The worldwide 5G rollout has officially begun, but for the time being, so few devices and cities actually support the technology that it still feels like it’s years away from becoming mainstream. We still don’t know when a majority of us will be able to take advantage of the lightning-fast speeds of 5G, but an announcement from Gogo seems to suggest that the wireless technology will be much more pervasive two years from now.
On Wednesday, Gogo revealed that it plans to build a 5G network for aviation. The network will be designed for use on business flights, commercial jets, and smaller mainline jets operating within the US and Canada. Gogo wants to have the network up and running for business and commercial flights by 2021.
