With the Galaxy Note 10 set to launch in just 2 months, we’ve seen plenty of leaks over the past few weeks. Truth be told, however, there hasn’t been much news that has surprised us. Given Samsung’s history with Galaxy Note phones, we know that the Galaxy Note 10 will basically be a Galaxy S10 Plus with a slightly different design and S Pen stylus support. It’ll be powered by the same Snapdragon 855 and Exynos 9825 processors, it’ll have the same triple-lens rear camera system, and it’ll sport the same Dynamic AMOLED screen in a slightly different size with slightly better tuning. In fact, the only surprises so far have probably been the revelations that there will be multiple versions of the Note 10 for the first time in the history of the Galaxy Note series and the fact that the phones will support lightning-fast 45W fast charging.

While it might not be the most surprising new smartphone in the world, there are still tons of Samsung fans out there who can’t wait to get their hands on the company’s next-generation Note phone. The Galaxy Note 10 won’t make its official debut until sometime in early August, but a new leak confirms that there will be an ultra high-end version of the phone, and it even tells us exactly how powerful the new Note will be.

Apple executives took the stage in San Jose, California on Monday morning and gave the world its first look at the company’s next-generation software platforms. MacOS 10.15 Catalina is packed full of nifty new features, tvOS 13 gets a great new home screen, and watchOS 6 has all sorts of new features as well as new watch faces. For years, Apple has been insisting on offering its customers strong privacy and security across its products and services. Apple has long supported end-to-end encryption, and often reminded its audiences, as well as its rivals that it doesn’t sell any user data. In recent months, Facebook and Google have both shown their willingness to improve user privacy, but both companies went after Apple to point out that privacy doesn’t have to be reserved to those people who pay more money for expensive Apple devices. Both companies, however, will not stop collecting user data for ads, which is how they’re making money.

If you were transported back in time some 100,000 years there’s a good chance you’d run into any number of creatures that could rapidly end your life. One of those species was the saber-toothed cat, and while we may never know how aggressive the big felines would have been towards a human, new research tells us all we need to know about their potential killing power.

New research conducted by a team of scientists in Argentina reveals that the saber-toothed cat species Smilodon populator was equipped with teeth powerful enough to puncture skulls. In fact, the researchers have evidence of at least one such skull-busting incident, with fossils of one saber-toothed cat bearing the scars of a bite from one of its kin.
