Microsoft’s game streaming service will be free to Xbox owners, since it’s not part of xCloud
Microsoft is expected to be one of the leading players in the future game streaming wars, but the company didn’t share too many details about its xCloud streaming platform at E3 2019. Instead, Microsoft announced that game streaming would roll out to Xbox One owners this fall, when they’ll be able to use it to stream games to other devices, including iPhone and Android handsets. Unlike Google, which revealed pricing for Stadia a few days earlier, Microsoft never mentioned how much xCloud will cost. But we have new developments for gamers: Game streaming will be available free of charge if you own an Xbox One, but it’s not quite xCloud.

What the unexpected Pixel 4 teaser tells us about the fourth-gen Google flagship phone
We’ve been bombarded with Pixel 4 rumors for the past few days now, but nobody could have seen coming what Google did on Wednesday. The company went to social media to post actual images of the Pixel 4 several months in advance of the phone’s arrival. That’s an incredibly bold move from Google, and it’s also terribly exciting for fans planning to purchase Pixel hardware — on that note, there’s absolutely no reason even to consider going for either the Pixel 3 or Pixel 3a phones at this time.
While Google only shared images featuring the Pixel 4’s rear, revealing nothing else about the phone, the image the company released delivers plenty of tidbits about the upcoming handset. And that’s because we already have access to a bunch of rumors that Google seemingly confirmed with its teaser.

NASA says now is a great time to leave Earth
When you’re planning on taking a trip it pays to plan ahead, and one of the first things you should do is check the weather forecast. The same is true for space travelers, and with so many missions in the works, NASA is now gazing ahead to see what the space weather forecast is looking like for the upcoming decade, and things appear to be shaping up rather nicely.
Using the most recent data on solar activity and a new predictive formula for forecasting peaks and valleys of solar weather, NASA says that we’re about to experience the calmest decade-or-so of the past two centuries, making right now the perfect time to plan crewed missions to other worlds.

Applications have now opened for Marriott’s new co-branded card with Chase, the Marriott Bonvoy Bold Credit Card, which is noteworthy both for the benefits it offers as well as what it leaves out. Uber’s futuristic drone delivery service could launch as early as this summer
It may have seemed like science fiction just a few years ago, but a world filled with package-carrying drones zooming by overhead is right around the corner. Just last week, Amazon announced that its Prime Air delivery service would start delivering packages in just a few months time. And now comes word that Uber is planning to unleash its own fleet of drones in the near future.
Not to be confused with Uber’s flying car initiative, the ridesharing company’s drone strategy in question is a bit more subdued but still ambitious in its own right. Specifically, Uber is currently seeking FAA approval for drones that would be able to help deliver food to customers as part of the company’s Uber Eats program, according to a new report from Bloomberg.

Netflix has renewed its beautiful show about the bond between dogs and their owners
We called it the most life-affirming Netflix show of 2018 when it debuted last year, and with good reason. Dogs, an insanely heartwarming six-part Netflix series, followed a handful of storylines involving dog owners around the globe and the tight bond they share with their four-legged friends. We were introduced to dog owners and their loveable good boys from places as far-flung as Syria, Japan, Italy, Costa Rica, and the US, and we saw dogs get adopted, survive war and so much more. No wonder it quickly became for many Netflix viewers an instant must-binge series.
And now, according to a new report from Variety, as well as the show’s official Twitter account, it seems that Netflix has thankfully decided to give a new season to Dogs.

Google login chief actually praises new ‘Sign In with Apple’ button
At WWDC last week when Apple got around to introducing the new app sign-in button it’s planning to introduce with the launch of iOS 13 this fall, it actually drew a big round of audience applause and cheers.
The iPhone maker, which has reportedly asked that developers position the button right on top of Google and Facebook login buttons, says its button will be tied to Face ID/Touch ID to make everything secure and convenient. Also, Apple will be able to use the button to generate an infinite number of unique email addresses to protect your real email, in addition to not capturing tons of data about you when you click the button.

An entire New Jersey jail has been quarantined due to mumps outbreak
If you end up in a county jail, chances are you’re not having the greatest of days to begin with. Inmates who found themselves behind the bars of the Bergen County jail in New Jersey got a little more than they bargained for this week when a handful of them came down with the mumps.
The bizarre outbreak has prompted officials to issue a quarantine of the entire facility while doctors try to isolate those who have the infectious virus. Doctors working with the Bergen County Sheriff’s Office believe five inmates have been infected thus far but are awaiting test results before issuing an official number.

New Spotify playlist wants to replace your car radio
Americans spend much of their time every day stuck behind the wheel of a car, logging some 70 billion hours each year that are passed while just sitting or moving along in traffic — a metric that makes a company like Spotify eventually realize there’s a potentially lucrative opportunity there to serve a more or less captive audience.
