Your used Nest Cam might have been spying on you for months
As our homes get smarter, our privacy is increasingly at risk. A terrifying example of this was recently brought to light by a Facebook group of Wink smart home hub users who discovered that even after they performed a factory reset of their Nest Cam Indoor, they were still able to access the camera’s feed.
As Wirecutter explains, one of the group’s users sold his Nest Cam, but later realized he was still able to access live images from the camera, which had since been set up in the new owner’s home. Wirecutter attempted to recreate the scenario with a Nest account linked to a Wink account. Despite following Google’s factory reset instructions, as soon as they set the camera back up on a new Nest account, they were able to access a live feed of images taken by the camera from their original Wink account. Worst of all, the new owner would never know.

Galaxy Note 10 tipped to pack a camera feature no other phone has
The Galaxy Note 10 already has a rumored announcement date, and we’re getting quite close to the launch of one of the most exciting phones of the second half of 2019. That also means more of its secrets will be spilled in the coming weeks, long before Samsung takes the stage in New York to introduce the handset. Just the other day we learned that the phone will feature a screen technology that only one other phone has, an LG phone that’s nowhere near as popular as the Note 10 will be. That’s a Sound on Display (SoD) screen the Note 10 will reportedly get, which turns the entire display into a speaker. As a result, there’s no need for the regular earpiece at the top of the phone, so the bezels can be made even thinner. The display will not be the only unique trick the Note 10 will offer buyers though, as a new leak details an even more exciting feature that Samsung will introduce on the Galaxy Note 10.

‘Spider-Man: Far From Home’ post-credits scenes could be our first official look at MCU Phase 4
Much to our surprise, Avengers: Endgame isn’t the last film in the third phase of Marvel Cinematic Universe movies. Yes, Avengers 4 concludes the Infinity Saga and brings closure to that massive adventure, and it also delivers the final stories for several Marvel characters. But the last film before Phase 4 kicks off will be Spider-Man: Far From Home.
Also much to our surprise, Endgame did not feature any post-credits scenes. Well, not the kind that would tease what’s coming in the next movies, because we did have a touching tribute at the end for the original six Avengers, with a focus on Tony Stark. And then the brand new Far From Home trailer was added right at the end of the film. But the new Spider-Man installment will bring back post-credits scenes, and we have some big news about what you should expect.

Netflix will release 44 new original movies and shows in July – here’s the full release schedule
When it comes to Netflix’s new original movies and shows set to premiere in July, we have good news and bad news. The bad news is that in terms of quantity, the release schedule of Netflix original productions is way down next month compared to the 56 new originals that will hit the streaming service over the course of June (you can find that complete list right here to ensure that you don’t miss anything good). While the quantity is indeed down, the good news is that the quality is shaping up to be a huge jump over June.
We don’t have to tell you what the star of the show is on Netflix next month, because you’ve undoubtedly been sitting on the edge of your seat for months waiting for this particular show to return. That’s right, ladies and gentlemen, Stranger Things is finally back for its third season! Stranger Things season 3 will arrive on Netflix on July 4th, and the complete season will of course be available that day. It’s said to be as fun as season 1 and as terrifying as season 2, so we seriously cannot wait to see what’s in store from our favorite crew of retro kids.
A brand new season of Stranger Things might be the biggest new release coming to Netflix in July, but there’s plenty more to be excited about like the seventh and final season of Orange is the New Black as well as a new season of Jerry Seinfeld’s Comedians in Cars Getting Coffee. You can find the entire schedule of Netflix original releases in July below, and we’ve included links to each Netflix page that was available at the time of this writing. If you want to see all the third-party content coming to Netflix next month as well, you’ll find it in our earlier coverage.

Forget the iPhone 11 and Pixel 4, the smartphone display we want is coming next week
The second half of the year will bring us a bunch of exciting high-end smartphones, including the Galaxy Note 10, iPhone 11, Pixel 4, Huawei Mate 30 Pro, and OnePlus 7T. We already have an idea of how some of them will look, especially the first three in the list thanks to a large number of leaks, and it’s unlikely that any of them will deliver the smartphone design we all want. However, that no-compromise screen tech will be unveiled as soon as next week by a smartphone maker from China.

Revolutionary new tech can charge the Galaxy S10+ battery in just 13 minutes
Smartphone vendors aren’t just trying to cram as much battery juice as possible in thinner and thinner phones that get more sophisticated components, but they’re also working on charging tech that would let you replenish the battery faster than ever. The latter might be a better upgrade for smartphone batteries. With faster charging in place, the battery size doesn’t matter as much. And a Chinese smartphone maker you might not be familiar with came up with battery charging speeds that would let you recharge the Galaxy S10+’s 4,100 mAh in just around 13 minutes.
