This huge leak might be our first look at the Galaxy Note 10+ in real-life photos
There’s a lot riding on the Galaxy Note 10 this year. Last year’s Galaxy S9 and Galaxy Note 9 phones were so boring that Samsung’s smartphone sales plummeted. Each of those flagship phone series looked almost identical to its predecessor, and Samsung failed to introduce any compelling new features at all that might prompt people to look past the recycled design and upgrade anyway. In 2019, Samsung took a big first step on the road to recovery. The Galaxy S10 series boasted a gorgeous new all-screen design and several exciting new features, and sales are believed to be quite strong so far. Then, disaster struck: Samsung decided that being the first smartphone maker to release a foldable smartphone was more important than releasing a foldable smartphone that isn’t a piece of junk. We all know what happened next… Samsung was forced to cancel its Galaxy Fold release when review units began breaking within hours of reaching bloggers’ hands. Oops.
I’ve already explained why I knew the Galaxy Fold would be an awful phone more than a year before Samsung even announced it. No, I can’t see the future, it’s simply that I’ve been doing this for a long time. Samsung Mobile is never good at being first. Never, ever. The company’s first-generation products are always very bad, and then it improves things in future iterations. That’s why mature Samsung Mobile products are so fantastic, and the Galaxy Note 10 with be the ninth generation of Note phone so it’s beyond mature at this point. The Note 10 series was already shaping up to be spectacular based on what we’ve seen and heard so far, and now a huge leak may give us our first real-life look at the upcoming high-end version of Samsung’s next flagship, the Galaxy Note 10+.

Industry insider teases smartphones with even better all-screen designs coming this year
The second half of the year will bring us a variety of high-end smartphones, including Apple’s brand new iPhone 11 phones, as well as many Android flagships. The Galaxy Note 10 will be the first one to hit stores in August, with the Pixel 4, Huawei Mate 30 Pro, and OnePlus 7T set to arrive in the fall. That’s on top of all the other flagships coming from other Chinese smartphone makers, some of which won’t be easy to find in some markets. With that in mind, an industry insider’s claim that bezels are getting even smaller than before in the second half of the year is definitely interesting.

1,000-pound birds once roamed Europe, researchers say
If you’re going to pick a fight with a bird, the common ostrich should probably be near the bottom of your list. They’re tall, powerful, and the largest specimens can weigh in at well over 300 pounds. They’re not to be messed with, but they don’t hold a candle to the absolutely monstrous birds that roamed Europe as recently as a couple of million years ago.
In a new study published in the Journal of Vertebrate Paleontology, researchers reveal that an absolutely gargantuan bird once called Europe home, and it did so at a time when early humans might have come across it.

‘Avengers: Endgame’ directors confirm the fan runtime theory is pure coincidence
When you’re dealing with a cinematic universe as extensive and interconnected as Marvel’s 22-film saga that culminated with Avengers: Endgame, it’s pretty much a given that superfans will have plenty of material not only to chew over but to fuel fan theories and speculation about how everything fits together. And not just that, but also why certain choices were made — and even spawning seemingly wild guesses about things we might have missed.
One of the most so-amazing-it-has-to-be-true theories that emerged from the tireless MCU fanbase has to do with the origin of the “I love you 3000” line that Tony Stark and his daughter share with each other. The Russo brothers who co-directed the movie have finally addressed the theory.

It took two minutes for Taco Bell to sell out its new hotel, because people are weird
Taco Bell fans are apparently so addicted to the brand of the Mexican fast food chain, that not only do they patronize its locations on the regular for artery-clogging tacos and nachos. The company also felt that the brand has enough of a following that it decided to open a Taco Bell Hotel this August in Palm Spring, Calif. It will be a very real hotel and resort that’s infused with the brand via everything from a gift shop that sells Taco Bell-themed clothes to Taco Bell-inspired rooms and even a salon that offers Taco Bell-inspired art.
Most improbable of all, reservations for the new hotel opened today. And sold out in just two minutes.

Some ancient crocodiles preferred salad over steak
Modern crocodiles have a reputation as ravenous beasts that crave flesh. While it’s certainly true that crocodiles today are more than happy to feast on fresh meat, it seems that some ancient crocs not only enjoyed leafy greens on a regular basis, but may have actually preferred a vegetarian diet.
The research, which was published in Current Biology, is based on fossils that survived long after many of the ancient crocodile species became extinct. The study reveals that forks in the crocodile family tree resulted in species that favored plants at least three times in history.

Tesla dashcam video helps prove that a reckless driver lied about causing an accident
In something of a wild story, a dashcam on a Model 3 captured an accident involving a reckless driver who later tried to lie to the police about the details surrounding the crash in question. The twist, though, is that the police were only able to deduce that the driver was lying because it was directly at odds with the video captured by Model 3 that happened to be directly behind the crash.
The video itself was originally posted to the Tesla subreddit earlier this week. As evidenced below, a car zooms by a Model 3 and subsequently tries to squeeze in between two cars. The driver can’t quite fit and ultimately sends the car to his right careening off the road.

Facebook wants to let you share your WhatsApp status to Facebook and Instagram
What’s the first thing you can think of when you hear that Facebook is considering allowing WhatsApp users to share their status updates to Facebook, Instagram, and other apps? If you said “Cool,” that’s understandable — it could be a cool feature! If you think it’s creepy, you’re also right, because this sort of functionality across the various services belonging to any tech company, especially one that collects that much data, can indeed be creepy.
What we’re saying is that Facebook may use this little trick to connect various accounts which could give it even more insight into who you are, for ad sales purposes and more.
