While Samsung’s upcoming Galaxy Note 10 has been the subject of countless rumors in recent months, it’s not the only flagship device the South Korean company plans to launch in the second half of the year. On Tuesday morning, SamMobile revealed that the Galaxy Tab S6 will be the next flagship tablet from Samsung, which suggests the tech giant is skipping the Galaxy Tab S5 after launching the Tab S5e earlier this year.

In addition to confirming the name of the tablet, SamMobile also shared the supposed specifications of the tablet. The highlight has to be the Snapdragon 855 processor, which is a significant step up after Samsung opted to stick with the Snapdragon 835 on the Tab S4, despite the chip already being out of date.

After refreshing the MacBook Pro Touch Bar models a few months ago, Apple on Tuesday did the same thing with two other MacBook models, while discontinuing other MacBook models. Launched last year, the Retina MacBook Air got a price cut that many people will appreciate.

Unsurprisingly, Apple discontinued the old MacBook Air design, as well as the 12-inch MacBook, two devices that could easily cannibalize Retina MacBook Air sales. The company also updated the entry-level MacBook Pro, giving it Touch Bar and Touch ID, as well as a new 8th-gen Intel laptop — that’s right the non-Touch Bar MacBook Pro, the one that featured a physical Escape key, has been discontinued.

Apple will launch three new iPhones this September: The direct successors to the iPhone XS, XS Max, and iPhone XR. The iPhone 11 series, as we’ve been calling it, will look a lot like the 2018 smartphones when it comes to screen design. The major change concerns the rear panel, as the phones are all getting new camera systems featuring an extra lens compared to their predecessors.

None of these phones will have 5G connectivity, and they should cost the same as their predecessors. However, Apple is supposedly working on 5G iPhones, as well as a cheaper iPhone model, for 2020.

When the Galaxy Note launched in 2011, it had two outstanding features that helped it stand out from the crowd of Android handsets that tried to compete against the iPhone. The Note had a bigger screen than anything else available, and it packed a built-in stylus, the S Pen. Fast-forward to 2019, and the Note series lost one of its advantages over rivals. Screen tech advancements allowed smartphone vendors to significantly reduce bezels and extend the screen all the way to the corners. That’s why screen size is no longer an advantage for the Galaxy Note — in fact, the Note 10 is already expected to come in two distinct display sizes. But the S Pen is still there, complete with more advanced features than before. However, that stylus will apparently prevent the Galaxy Note 10 from being a much better phone.
