You’ll have to pay extra to fast-charge the Galaxy Note 10
We’re exactly three weeks away from the Galaxy Note 10 launch, but Samsung event will not deliver any huge surprises when it comes to the company’s newest smartphone. We know everything about the Note 10 thanks to a flurry of leaks and renders. The design was recently confirmed in FCC documentation that revealed other details about the phone, and the specs leaked more than once, camera details included. If there’s one thing that left us puzzled though, it’s the battery. We’ve seen conflicting reports about the type of fast-charging tech Samsung will use on the Note 10, but now it looks like we finally have a definite answer for you. Yes, the Note 10 will have faster battery charging than any previous Samsung flagship… as long as you’re willing to pay extra for it.

L.A.’s earthquake warning app worked as intended… or did it?
Earlier this year the city of Los Angeles launched its very own earthquake warning app. It’s called ShakeAlertLA, and it’s supposed to alert “users within Los Angeles County that an earthquake of greater than magnitude 5.0 or level IV intensity has been detected.”
It worked great, and people are incredibly disappointed in it.
Both of those things are unfortunately true, and it all stems from the fact that the app didn’t do anything at all. The over half-a-million people who downloaded the app didn’t get an alert before, during, or after the quakes on July 4th and 5th, and according to L.A. county, that’s exactly what was supposed to happen.

Nintendo just revealed a new Switch model with improved battery life
We still don’t know when or if Nintendo will release a Switch Pro, but the standard model will seemingly be upgraded before the end of 2019. As you can see on a page on Nintendo’s website comparing the different Switch consoles, a new model numbered HAC-001(-01) has appeared beneath the launch model. This updated version of the Switch is virtually identical, but the battery life has been significantly improved.
According to Nintendo’s comparison page, the new Switch model will last approximately 4.5 to 9 hours, depending on a variety of factors. The launch model lasted just 2.5 to 6.5 hours, so that’s nearly double the minimum play time, and a major boost in maximum play time as well. Your Switch might finally live through a full flight.

New video shows Apple’s leaked iPhone 11 models like never before
There are at least half a dozen new flagship Android smartphones set to be released in the coming months, and each one is more exciting than the last. We’ve got the Galaxy Note 10 and Galaxy Note 10+ coming in just a few weeks, and Huawei’s next-generation Mate 30 Pro won’t be far behind it. Then a few months later, Google’s new Pixel 4 and Pixel 4 XL will finally be announced following Google’s bizarre preview from earlier this month. The OnePlus 7T Pro will be released somewhere along the line as well, and it’ll undoubtedly be among the most powerful Android flagships in the world. Oh, and that doesn’t even take into account all of the lesser-known Chinese smartphone brands set to release exciting new all-screen flagship phones in the coming months.
If you’re an Android fan, there is indeed plenty of excitement still to come in 2019. Meanwhile, over in the Apple camp, three new iPhone 11 models are in the works that don’t look like they’re going to offer much in the way of big upgrades compared to the current iPhone XS lineup. They have the same exact designs aside from a new rear camera array and a redesigned mute switch, and there’s still no word on any exciting new features the iPhone 11, iPhone 11 Max, and iPhone 11R might introduce. Yet despite all that, the upcoming new iPhone 11 series is still stirring up more buzz and anticipation than all those other Android flagships combined. And now, a new video gives us our best look yet at Apple’s next-generation iPhone lineup.
