Apple’s newest iPad Air just dropped to its lowest price ever on Amazon
If you’re planning on buying a new iPad Air anytime soon, what ever you do, don’t buy it from Apple. We’ve got nothing against Apple stores, of course, but you can save a nice chunk of cash by picking one up from Amazon instead. The nation’s top online retailer just slashed $50 off the price of Apple’s newest iPad Air, chopping it down to $449.99 from $500. It’s the biggest discount yet on the new Air, and there’s no telling how long it’ll last.
Of note, if you only plan to use your iPad for simple things like browsing the web, messing with apps, and streaming shows and movies, you’re far better off saving even more money and picking up a current-generation iPad while it’s on sale for just $249.

Why there’s no ‘Avengers 5’ in MCU Phase 4, and why we’re definitely getting more Avengers movies
Avengers: Endgame and Spider-Man: Far From Home have just concluded Marvel’s Infinity Saga, and Marvel announced all the upcoming movies and TV shows that will be part of the fourth phase of the Marvel Cinematic Universe. But going into Phase 4, which starts on May 1st, 2020 with Black Widow and ends on November 5th, 2021 with Thor 4, we know there won’t be any new Avengers films (of note, we also won’t have any new Guardians or Spider-Man movies in Phase 4). Needless to say, this isn’t the end of the Avengers and it’s also not the end of epic movies that include all of our favorite heroes from the MCU.

The 10 best movies and shows coming to Netflix in August 2019
Netflix has done an admirable job of spacing out many its best original shows throughout 2019, and that looks to be continuing into August, as several of the streaming service’s top series are returning this month as well. The biggest addition has to be the second season of MINDHUNTER, which will help capitalize on the true crime craze that has been dominating virtually every medium it has touched over the past several years.
Subscribers are also getting the third season of the delightful female wrestling dramedy GLOW, and a new season of the hysterical Ireland-set sitcom Derry Girls. But nostalgia is king in August, as both Invader Zim and Rocko’s Modern Life are getting made-for-streaming movies, while ’80s classic The Dark Crystal returns as a full prequel series.

Verizon just introduced four new unlimited plans that are cheaper than before
Verizon may never make choosing a data plan easy for customers, but at least it occasionally cuts prices. On Friday, the mobile carrier announced a revamped set of four unlimited plans to replace the previous three, theoretically giving customers more choice when it comes to picking a plan that best suits their needs.
Honestly, the most notable change for Verizon customers is that all four unlimited plans are $5 cheaper than the three plans they replace. Aside from the new names and the fact that the old mid-tier plan has been split into two identically priced plans with subtlely different perks, the price drop is the big news for most customers.
