HUGE LEAK: A Foxconn employee might’ve just leaked a ton of new iPhone 11 details

%name Articles of Interest by Authcom, Nova Scotia\s Internet and Computing Solutions Provider in Kentville, Annapolis Valley

Samsung’s Galaxy Note 10 and Galaxy Note 10+ are a week away from being released, Huawei has killer new flagship phones on the way, the OnePlus 7T Pro will likely debut soon, and Google’s hotly-anticipated Pixel 4 and Pixel 4 XL are set to be announced less than two months from now. There are so many new flagship phones that will be released in the late summer and early fall this year, and yet it seems like almost all attention is already focused on Apple’s upcoming new iPhone 11 lineup.

The iPhone 11R, iPhone 11, and iPhone 11 Max — or iPhone 11, iPhone 11 Pro, and iPhone 11 Pro Max as they’re now rumored to be named — won’t be huge upgrades compared to the current iPhone XS lineup. In fact, the iPhone 11 lineup in 2019 is shaping up to be just like the iPhone 7 lineup in 2016. Apple decided to reuse the same hardware design for a third consecutive year with the iPhone 7, but it added a few new features and an upgraded camera. This year, the iPhone 11 series will look exactly like the iPhone XS, XS Max, and XR from the front, and the back will be about the same aside from the new rear cameras; according to multiple independent reports, Apple’s two flagship iPhones will have triple-lens cameras while the entry-level iPhone 11 will sport a dual-lens rear shooter.

We know so much about these upcoming new iPhone 11 handsets already thanks to all the leaks and well-sourced reports out there. Now, however, we might’ve just learned even more about these unreleased Apple phones thanks to a huge leak.

We might finally know the exact names Apple is using for its iPhone 11 lineup

%name Articles of Interest by Authcom, Nova Scotia\s Internet and Computing Solutions Provider in Kentville, Annapolis Valley

Only about a month separates us from Apple’s iPhone press conference, where the company will unveil three new devices, part of the iPhone 11 family. We’ve been using the iPhone 11 moniker for these devices for months now, not knowing what Apple will call these handsets, and whether Roman or Arabic numerals will be employed. A leak a few days ago suggested that Apple will make a significant change to iPhone branding this year, and we have a brand new report that seems to confirm it all, listing all three new iPhone names.

The next OnePlus product to hit stores might not be a smartphone

%name Articles of Interest by Authcom, Nova Scotia\s Internet and Computing Solutions Provider in Kentville, Annapolis Valley

OnePlus has been launching two flagship phones a year for quite a while now, but 2019 marks a turning point in the company’s brief history. For starters, we’ve witnessed OnePlus unveiling not one but three OnePlus 7 phones in the first half of the year, including the OnePlus 7, 7 Pro, and 7 Pro 5G. The company was also one of the few smartphone vendors that launched to launch a 5G device. Going forward, OnePlus is expected to announce a OnePlus 7T series in October, but that might not be the first new One Plus device hitting stores this fall.

This creepy deepfake shows Bill Hader morph into Tom Cruise mid-impersonation

Okay, this clip may qualify as my favorite deepfake video I’ve seen to date. We would direct your attention to the clip at the top of this post, which presents an old Bill Hader Late Night with David Letterman interview. Bill uses the opportunity to show off his insanely masterful skill at impressions — and then the video creator above uses THEIR masterful skill to seamlessly morph Bill’s face into that of Tom Cruise and then Seth Rogen as he impersonates them both at different points in the clip.

The whole effect is … wow, well just watch.

Here are the four spots where NASA’s asteroid probe might land

%name Articles of Interest by Authcom, Nova Scotia\s Internet and Computing Solutions Provider in Kentville, Annapolis Valley

NASA’s OSIRIS-REx spacecraft is currently hanging out around the asteroid known as Bennu. It’s been there for months, taking photos and scanning the asteroid’s surface to get a better idea of exactly what dangers the probe might face when it eventually touches down.

Now, after scrutinizing every square inch of the massive rock, NASA has narrowed down the possible landing sites to just four candidates. Each of the four spots is relatively inviting, with little in the way of large debris, but the science team still has some work to do before they can make the final call.

Spotify users may finally be able to start using Siri commands to play music

%name Articles of Interest by Authcom, Nova Scotia\s Internet and Computing Solutions Provider in Kentville, Annapolis Valley

Over the past few months, there’s been quite a bit of tension between Apple and Spotify. Not too long ago, for example, Spotify CEO Daniel Ek argued that Apple’s 30% cut from the App Store amounts to an unfair tax on competition. What’s more, Spotify has taken its complaints about Apple’s App Store practices to the European Union where it has levied a range of antitrust claims against the Cupertino-based company.

That dispute notwithstanding, the two companies appear to be making peace on another front. According to a report from The Information, Apple and Spotify are currently working on a deal that would finally allow Spotify users to play songs from their playlists via Siri commands.

‘Game of Thrones’ fans almost got to see Arya fight her way to the Night King

%name Articles of Interest by Authcom, Nova Scotia\s Internet and Computing Solutions Provider in Kentville, Annapolis Valley

Among the massive pile of Emmy nominations Game of Thrones has garnered (a record 32) heading into next month’s awards ceremony, one of them is a nod for “Outstanding Directing in a Drama Series” for the Miguel Sapochnik-helmed episode, The Long Night. That, of course, was one of the most anticipated episodes in Thrones history and featured the nonstop violence of the Battle of Winterfell that resulted in the surprising death of the Night King.

About that last bit — Sapochnik has revealed in a new interview some fresh detail about the iconic scene involving Arya finally putting an end to the undead king. Specifically, some fresh detail about a part of the scene that may have nagged at some of you.
