Emmy winners 2019 list: Game of Thrones’ laughably bad final season dominated the Emmys
Scan the headlines this morning and you’ll see last night’s Emmy Awards show described as “boring,” “ridiculous,” or even “embarrassingly bad.” You probably have no idea how good or bad it was though, because who even watches awards shows anymore? There are really only a few things you need to know about the Emmys this year and the fact that Game of Thrones won more awards than any other show is at the top of the list. That’s right, the show that had what is almost universally described as one of the worst final seasons in the history of television won more Emmy awards for its final season than any other show. Add last night’s wins for best drama series (I just vomited in my mouth) and Peter Dinklage’s win for best supporting actor in a drama series (okay fine, that one is well-deserved) to the 10 technical Emmys the show took home at last weekend’s Creative Arts Emmys and you’ve got a total of 12 Emmys, making it the most awarded show of the year.
Once you’re done dry heaving, you should know that there were also some Emmys handed out to actors and shows that actually deserved them. Jodie Comer won best lead actress in a drama series for her mind-blowing performance in Killing Eve, and the only argument there is that this should’ve been her second consecutive year taking home the award. The brilliant Amazon show Fleabag rightfully won best comedy series, and HBO’s Chernobyl won best limited series. Want to see the rest of the big winners and losers from last night? You’ll find the complete list below.

You can preorder Disney+ starting now, but there’s a very good reason you should wait
Disney on Sunday kicked off preorders for its Disney+ stream service, more than a month ahead of the November 12th launch. Buyers who want to sign up early for the new Netflix rival have a choice between monthly and yearly subscriptions and an incentive to get their order in before November 12th. However, a set of future Disney+ subscribers will want to wait until launch day to take advantage of the service.

iPhone 11 Pro Max teardown reveals some interesting secrets
Millions of people have bought one of the three iPhone 11 phones that Apple launched less than two weeks ago, and the handsets are available in stores already — Apple doesn’t announce sales numbers for the iPhone, but several models sold out online soon after preorders started. But what’s more important is that, now that the phone has shipped to buyers, we have the first “official” teardown of the handset, which answers several questions. In the days leading up to the phone’s launch, we saw battery capacities get leaked, which is a detail Apple never shares. The iPhone maker also has the habit of not telling the public how much RAM its phones have, with a wild claim a few days ago saying the handset has 2GB of extra memory, dedicated to the camera system. Finally, we’ve heard conflicting reports of the bilateral wireless charging feature the phone was supposed to have. iFixit’s teardown helps answer all of those questions and reveals other iPhone 11 secrets.

Astronauts are breathing into weird little machines for science
Dealing with low gravity in space can take some getting used to for scientists who make their way to the International Space Station. They prepare as best they can back on Earth, but the human body tends to do some weird stuff when you remove gravity from the equation, and astronauts who return from space can exhibit a variety of issues that take some time to correct.
Now, researchers from the European Space Agency are using data from astronauts aboard the ISS to learn more about how space travel affects one very basic function of the human body: breathing.

Everything new coming to Netflix this week, and everything leaving (week of Sep. 22)
This is one of the quietest weeks I’ve ever seen on Netflix. The biggest returning show might be Explained, and while I’m sure there are some diamonds in the rough hidden throughout this list, I simply don’t recognize a vast majority of the shows and movies coming to the streaming service throughout this week.
That said, The Politician is absolutely loaded with stars, so maybe it’ll be a pleasant surprise. Gwyneth Paltrow, Ben Platt, Jessica Lange, Zoey Deutch, and Bette Midler are all prominently featured in this comedy series.

Delta has an incredible fare sale through Wednesday with flights as low as $97
Regular travelers probably don’t associate the idea of sales and low-fares with a carrier like Delta Airlines, which are more in the wheelhouse of a low-cost brand like Southwest that offers up flash fare sales on the regular.
Nevertheless, that’s exactly what Delta has going at the moment — a fare sale with deals that start as low as only $97, though they come with a few important catches.

Samsung’s latest trolling campaign shows that it might be more afraid of Huawei than Apple
Samsung loves to mock the iPhone every chance it gets, even if that means having to delete its commercials when they no longer make Galaxy phones look good. Well, Samsung is at it again, but this time it’s taking a hit at an Android rival that might be even more threatening than Apple.
Not only is Apple a huge source of revenue for Samsung, but the iPhone doesn’t really threaten Samsung’s position at the top of the mobile market. You know which company does, though? Huawei, which could potentially have topped Samsung much faster if it weren’t for the US government’s ban against the company. And now that the Mate 30 has arrived, the Korean company felt the need to respond in the only way it knows how: Trolling.
