If you have an iPhone 11 or iPhone 11 Pro, there’s one default setting you need to fix right now
If you had asked Apple fans to be honest a few months ago, they likely would have told you that they were worried about the iPhone 11. So much information had leaked from reliable sources, including the phone’s new design and a bunch of new features that Apple had planned for its 2019 iPhone lineup. Leaks are nothing new, of course, but these particular leaks painted a picture of a new iPhone lineup that really wasn’t shaping up to be much of an upgrade over Apple’s iPhone models from last year. Sources that had almost always been reliable in the past suggested that the design of the iPhone 11 series was going to be exactly the same as the iPhone XR and iPhone XS, but with a big new camera bump. On top of that, none of the new features that had been revealed were terribly compelling.
Fast-forward to Apple’s launch and release of the iPhone 11, iPhone 11 Pro, and iPhone 11 Pro Max, and we now know that the early leaks didn’t paint an accurate picture at all. Apple made a number of big design changes on the outside of its new iPhone models, and there are even bigger changes inside. The new 2019 iPhones are sleek, stylish, and incredibly powerful, plus the Pro models offer massive improvements where battery life is concerned. But there’s no question that the stars of the show on Apple’s iPhone 11 and iPhone 11 Pro phones are the new cameras Apple introduced, and that’s where we need to focus for a moment.

iPhone 11 has a secret feature that you might not appreciate until the iPhone 12 launches
The iPhone 11 phones are already a hit for the company, selling a lot better than their predecessors, according to different analysts. Stock for several iPhone 11, 11 Pro, and 11 Pro Max versions was depleted soon after preorders kicked off, with the new colors being the most popular among those people who preordered one — Midnight Green for the Pro phones, and Green and Purple for the iPhone 11. We also saw plenty of reviews that said the same thing, that iPhone 11 is the best iPhone ever made, without question, and a tough phone to beat by Android rivals. iFixit’s teardown, drop and durability tests, benchmarks, camera reviews and comparisons, and battery life tests all followed, revealing several of the iPhone 11 series’ features. But it turns out there’s one more iPhone 11 secret feature you should know about, one you might only appreciate come next year when the major iPhone 12 redesign arrives.

Researchers want to know how the T-Rex could crush bones without busting its own skull
The mighty Tyrannosaurus rex was the ultimate food processor. It didn’t really mess around with tearing meat from bone in the way that smaller predators and scavengers of the day may have. Instead, it used its incredibly powerful jaws to crush absolutely everything, including bone, and wasn’t squeamish about swallowing it all.
But if that was the case, and the creature regularly slammed its jaws down onto the bones of dead or dying dinosaurs, it would seem equally likely that the T. rex’s own skull would crack or shatter as well. Researchers from the University of Missouri wanted to figure out why that didn’t happen, and how the mighty king of the dinosaurs was able to pulverize bone without cracking its own skull in the process.

iPhone still works after falling from a plane and spending 13 months on the ground in Iceland
In a bizarre story out Iceland, an iPhone 6s that fell out of a plane more than a year ago and spent the ensuing months in extreme weather conditions was recently found and, surprisingly enough, was mostly in working order.
In a story first highlighted by The Next Web, a photographer named Haukur Snorrason went to Iceland last year to take photos of some of the country’s most scenic spots. At one point during the trip, Snorrason stuck his hand out the window of a small propeller plane and decided to film some video footage with his trusty iPhone 6s. But as luck would have it, a sudden burst of wind knocked the phone out of his hand and down about 200 feet onto “rocky terrain — where a massive river was overflowing and rupturing roads.”

Leaked Pixel 4 review reveals a feature that may be exclusive to Google’s phone
Google will unveil the Pixel 4 on October 15th, but we already know pretty much everything there is to know about the handset. Part of that comes from Google’s own teasers and press releases that confirmed the three major Pixel 4 features: rear dual-lens camera, 3D Face unlock, and Motion Sense. This was the first year when Google actually revealed new Pixel features well before the press conference, but that didn’t put a stop to leaks.
Just like last year, Pixel 4 prototypes began selling in Asia weeks before the event, with plenty of YouTubers reviewing the handset and its pre-release software. In the last few days alone, we got to look at one such early hands-on experience with a Pixel 4 XL that showed us camera samples complete with a comparison with the Galaxy Note 10 camera and detailed the 3D face recognition system. The same source also briefly detailed a Pixel 4 feature that will be unlike anything else available on Android, past Pixel phones included.
