It’s been three years since I first covered Delta, which brought near-flawless emulation of NES, SNES, and Game Boy games to iPhone. In the years since, developer Riley Testut has continued to work on the emulator, adding support for N64 games and, most recently, DS games as well. But up until now, there hasn’t been a way to access the emulator. Starting this Saturday, that changes, as Delta will be available to everyone through the AltStore.

On Wednesday, Testut announced on his website that alongside the Delta emulator, he had also been developing an alternative app store for iOS devices that would allow him (and other developers) to distribute apps that, in his words, “push the boundaries of iOS in ways not possible with Apple’s app review system.” And most importantly of all, you don’t have jailbreak your device to get AltStore and Delta on your phone.

NASA is looking forward to sending humans back to the Moon within the next five years, and despite some serious hurdles regarding budget and funding, NASA administrator Jim Bridenstine seems optimistic the agency can pull it off. Beyond the Moon mission, the near future may include crewed trips to Mars, but on his trip to Japan this week, Bridenstine made it clear that such endeavors would require “security.”

The NASA boss repeatedly emphasized the idea of “space security” during his talks in Japan, noting that the Japanese space program JAXA has been a key partner for some time now. However, the vagueries in Bridenstine’s statements are difficult to parse, at least on the surface.

In something of a bizarre story that speaks to the risks that can accompany having everyday household objects connected to the internet, hackers recently broke into the smart home system of a Milwaukee couple whereupon they proceeded to have a little bit of fun at the couple’s expense.

In a story that first appeared on Fox6Now, we specifically learn that the hackers raised the temperature on the couple’s Nest thermostat all the way up to 90 degrees. The couple — Lamont and Samantha Westmorland — immediately noticed something was awry when they came back to a sweltering house.

According to data gleaned from Mixpanel, iOS 13 user adoption is already off to an impressive start. Just a week after its release, the most recent iteration of Apple’s mobile OS is already on 20% of devices. And if history is any indication, that figure could soon rise to 50% in just two more weeks. Last year, for example, iOS 12 adoption reached 53% just three weeks after its release.

Though the initial incarnation of iOS 13 was a bit buggy — which is why iOS 13.1 was released swiftly thereafter — the user adoption figures above highlight Apple’s impressive ability to get users on the company’s most advanced and up-to-date OS. This, of course, stands in stark contrast to Android where the majority of users are still using relatively outdated OS versions from years ago.

Whether you’re siding with Disney or Sony over the whole Spider-Man MCU mess, it’s crystal clear that bringing Marvel in for Homecoming and Far From Home was a great idea. These movies, especially the latter, brought Peter Parker into the 21st century and went above and beyond anything Sony ever did on its own with the character. One of the credits scenes from the movie is a perfect example of that, delivering one of the most daring twists in Spider-Man history, and one that might never be explored in the MCU because of the split. But Sony seems ready to milk that scene now that Far From Home is ready to launch in digital and Blu-ray formats, and the whole thing is just amazing.
