After a pretty slow month in September with only 41 new original movies and shows that were released, Netflix is cranking the volume up to 11 this month. That’s right, a whopping 67 new original movies, shows, and specials are set to debut in October on Netflix. Before we get to them, however, let’s make sure you didn’t miss anything big in September because there were definitely some big releases last month. Definitely check out the full September release schedule, which includes some great highlights like The Spy, Unbelievable, and the dark comedy The Politician. In fact, we would go as far as to say that The Spy is probably the most surprising series of the year so far on Netflix. Who knew Sacha Baron Cohen had that kind of range!?

Now that October is here, Netflix have a ton of big premieres to look forward to over the course of the month. A new season of Carmen Sandiego and a new Nikki Glaser stand-up comedy special start things off on Tuesday, October 1st, and then there are 12 more Netflix originals set to be released over the course of this week alone. The star of the show that week is of course Peaky Blinders season 5, which will be released in its entirety on Friday, October 4th. That gives you three days to make sure you’re caught up!

The rest of October is packed full of new Netflix original premieres including new movies, new seasons of top-rated shows, several debuts of new shows, and even an Arsenio Hall stand-up special near the end of the month. Of course, there’s one title that everyone is looking forward to more than anything else, and it has been the talk of the internet for the past few weeks. That’s right, El Camino: A Breaking Bad Movie is finally set to be released on Friday, October 11th. For those somehow still unaware, this is the Breaking Bad prequel film that we’ve all been waiting for.

The brand new Switch console suffers from the same problem of its bigger sibling, Joy-Con drifting, which can be a real annoyance. Nintendo has already promised free-of-charge fixes for all the affected controllers from the regular Switch, and it’s supposedly working on a second version of the Switch Lite as we speak in order to fix the problem. Despite the fact that the Switch Lite was just released last month, it turns out that a new version of the console may already be nearing release. That said, it’s unclear if this “Switch Lite v2” addresses the controller problem that’s currently plaguing users.

For the first time in a very long time, Apple was able to surprise us all in September when it unveiled its new iPhone 11 lineup. Months and months of leaks leading up to Apple’s big announcement revealed plenty of details about the iPhone 11, iPhone 11 Pro, and iPhone 11 Pro Max. But unlike the leaks and reports that preceded other iPhone unveilings, much of what we saw regarding Apple’s iPhone 11 series turned out to be wrong. Renders and physical mockups of the iPhone 11 and iPhone 11 Pro phones were way off despite being based on the same design files that get stolen from Apple’s manufacturing partner Foxconn each and every year. As a result, elements of Apple’s design were misrepresented in those renders that the actual iPhones ended up looking nothing like the depictions we saw leading up to their release.

As it turns out, a sleek new design isn’t the only twist this year when it comes to Apple’s new iPhones. The iPhone 11, iPhone 11 Pro, and iPhone 11 Pro Max feature the next-generation A13 Bionic processor that packs 20% more power than its predecessor, according to Apple. We’re obviously used to seeing big performance improvements from Apple’s new iPhones each year, and early benchmark tests indeed showed solid gains from Apple’s iPhone 11 series. Now that the phones have been released and they’re being tested by reviewers and vloggers, however, Apple’s iPhone 11 and iPhone 11 Pro phones haven’t been performing as well as we expected them to. The Pixel 4 is the worst-kept secret in tech this year, just like its predecessor. Most smartphones out there get leaked, even the latest iPhones, but the Pixel 3 and Pixel 4 were actually sold to some YouTubers well ahead of their respective launches.
