PlayStation Now finally gets a price drop, might actually be worth buying
When PlayStation Now launched nearly half a decade ago, it was a novel idea. A game subscription service that let you stream games from the cloud sounded impressive on paper, but with no PS4 titles and an outrageous $20/month subscription fee, the value of PlayStation Now was questionable at best. Over the years, Sony sweetened the pot by adding PS4 titles, bringing the service to PC, and introducing a $100/year deal, but between Microsoft undercutting Sony with its $60/year Xbox Game Pass and Google introducing Stadia, it simply wasn’t enough.

NASA needs your help to make its Moon mission a reality
NASA’s upcoming Artemis missions to the Moon are taking shape, and with a very short deadline of 2024 for a crewed trip to the lunar surface, it’s an all-hands-on-deck situation at the space agency. That sense of urgency extends to its contractors as well, and since NASA is relying on commercial partners to invent the new landing systems for the missions, it wants to get those deals inked as soon as possible.
To that end, NASA is announcing a final call for submissions for lunar lander designs. The window to submit plans for a human landing system is closing fast, and NASA hopes to have all the candidates in hand by November 1st.

As players compete in standard and battle royale matches, they will earn experience and unlock new weapons, perks, characters, and more, just like in the console games. The game also frequently rewards players with credits they can use to purchase new equipment, as well as XP cards that can be used to level up weapons outside of battle. Leaked audio of Mark Zuckerberg details Facebook’s plan to fight Elizabeth Warren
For reasons that still remain a bit unclear, the idea of breaking up large tech companies like Facebook, Google, and Amazon has became a popular talking point for a few Democratic presidential candidates this year. With respect to Facebook in particular, Senator Elizabeth Warren has been championing a plan that would see regulators rollback a number of Facebook’s more notable acquisitions, including its $1 billion purchase of Instagram and its $19 billion purchase of WhatsApp.
“Today’s big tech companies have too much power — too much power over our economy, our society, and our democracy,” Warren said in a widely circulated blog post this past March. “They’ve bulldozed competition, used our private information for profit, and tilted the playing field against everyone else. And in the process, they have hurt small businesses and stifled innovation.”

NASA chief says the world may not be ready for Martian life
NASA’s Mars 2020 mission will attempt to answer a number of questions about the Red Planet, and one of the most pressing is the search for life. Today, Mars is largely barren and dry, but things were a lot different billions of years ago, and the possibility that life once existed there has loomed large as scientists search for clues using rovers and landers.
But if we do eventually find evidence of life on Mars, how will mankind react? In an interview with the Telegraph, NASA chief scientist Jim Green says that we’re not ready to find out.

WhatsApp is testing disappearing messages
Your future WhatsApp messages, should you choose to accept it, will self-destruct in five seconds. Or 1 hour, whichever feels more convenient. The feature is currently in alpha testing according to a recent discovery, so there’s no telling when or even if the new Snapchat-esque feature will ever actually make it to the app. Even so, it goes to show that Facebook is considering stealing yet another feature from Snapchat for one of its apps, or maybe even all of its messaging apps at some point down the road.
