Researchers invented wearable skin that lets you feel touches in VR
When it comes to the virtual reality ecosystem, even die-hard fans like Facebook’s chief executive will tell you the technology still has a way to go before it can start to be regarded as anything resembling a mass-market technology. Mark Zuckerberg himself told CNET just a few days ago that, when it comes to VR, “I don’t think it’s a 2020 thing” — a prognostication about the relatively slow expansion and adoption of VR, for a number of reasons. And, again, that’s coming from someone who’s so bullish on the technology he pushed for Facebook to spend $2 billion acquiring Oculus.

Microsoft just unveiled a dual-screen Surface phone that runs Android apps
Microsoft’s newly unveiled Surface Neo device isn’t the company’s only dual-screen phone. The company also announced a Surface phone device that runs Google Android apps straight from the Play Store called Surface Duo. Previous rumors did say that the Centaurus device will run Android apps, but they were only half-right. The Neo, which is a tablet/laptop gadget, will run Windows 10X and Windows app. The smaller Surface phone, which competes against the Galaxy Fold and Mate X without being a phone with a foldable screen, is the gadget that gets dual-screen support.

This is Microsoft’s first dual-screen Surface device – too bad you can’t buy it until late 2020
Microsoft on Wednesday unveiled a bunch of new products, confirming from the get-go that new form factors were in store for the Surface event. The Surface Laptop 3 and Surface Pro 7 were among the expected upgrades to some of Microsoft’s popular Surface products. And the company added AMD and ARM choices to these lines, in addition to the new Intel 10th-gen Core chips. But the most exciting product of the day was Microsoft’s dual-screen Surface 2-in-1, a first for the company, and a daring new product. However, the latest gadget will not be available in stores until the 2020 holiday season.

Pixel 4 to get brand new Pixel Buds 2 wireless earbuds
The Pixel 4 rumor frenzy continues with a brand new development that doesn’t necessarily concern the upcoming fourth-gen Google phones. One of the Pixel 4’s last remaining secrets just leaked
The Pixel 4 is hardly a secret anymore, and that’s due to Google’s own teasers and official announcements, but also to all the YouTubers that got their hands on working Pixel 4 prototypes in Asia. We thought we knew everything there was to know about the handset with some two weeks to go until the official Google press conference, but it turns out the phone might have one major feature that was somehow kept secret.

How to watch the Microsoft Surface event live stream starting at 10AM ET
Microsoft’s annual product reveal events might not be subject to as much fervent anticipation as Apple’s yearly iPhone unveiling, but this year, Microsoft has a chance to outdo one of its biggest rivals with a revolutionary device that could shape the future of laptops. And that’s just one of the products Microsoft is rumored to have lined up for its Surface event on Wednesday morning in New York, which is set to kick off at 7 AM PT / 10 AM ET.
Regarding the revolutionary new device, multiple rumors have suggested that Microsoft will finally take the wraps off its foldable computer (codenamed Centaurus) during this event. According to Windows Central, the foldable will have two displays connected by a hinge, and Evan Blass says it will be powered by a new OS dubbed Windows 10X which is “designed for dual- and folding-screen devices” and runs desktop apps in “containers.”

The Google Maps feature we’ve been waiting for is finally here
A leak a few days ago revealed that Google was finally testing a Google Maps feature that was announced back at I/O 2019. That’s an incognito mode for Google Maps that will work just like it does in a web browser, only for navigation and location history. With Incognito enabled in Google Maps, you won’t have to worry about preventing Google from associating certain locations with your Google account, which is something many Maps users will appreciate.
