Since releasing iOS 13 a few weeks ago, Apple has been pumping out updates at a furious pace. And with good reason, the initial incarnation of iOS 13 was a bit buggy, to say the least. Most recently, Apple earlier today rolled out the first beta of iOS 13.2, an update that finally delivers the long-awaited Deep Fusion mode that will enable iPhone users to take incredibly sharp and crisp photos in medium-light environments.

When Apple introduced Deep Fusion at its annual iPhone unveiling last month, Phil Schiller boasted that the feature — which relies upon the Neural Engine of Apple’s A13 bionic processor — was akin to “computational photography mad science.” In short, Deep Fusion in medium-light environments might almost be as impressive as what Night mode can do in low-light environments.

Of all the worlds in our solar system that may harbor some form of life, Saturn’s moon Enceladus may be the most exciting. The moon is a vast water ocean covered with a thick sheet of ice, and we know that liquid water is trapped below because cracks in the surface allow that water to spew into space.

Now, data from NASA’s Cassini mission has revealed that ice crystals originating from Enceladus include organic compounds that could offer a clue as to whether life is hiding deep within the planet. The discovery is the subject of a new paper published in Monthly Notices of the Royal Astronomical Society.

Before Sony and Disney announced their surprise reconciliation at the end of September regarding the future of the Spider-Man movie franchise, the two media companies were as far apart as they could be. The relationship, you’ll recall, had fallen apart over money, with each side pointing fingers at the other. Indeed, a deal was so unlikely that sources say talks for a third Spider-Man movie at that point were “100% dead.”

That’s according to The Hollywood Reporter, which on Wednesday afternoon issued a report revealing the surprise twist behind how the reversal. For that, folks, we apparently have Tom Holland himself to thank.

A new icon unearthed in the recently released iOS 13.2 beta provides us with a look at what may very well be the new AirPods design we’ve been hearing so much about over the past few months. Originally unearthed by MacRumors, the new design is a slight tweak of the original and appears to feature rubber tips on the side of each earbud.

According to one source claiming to be familiar with Apple’s plans, the company is planning to introduce a new AirPods design with noise cancellation features later this year, and presumably with enough lead time to take advantage of the busy holiday shopping season.
