Google researchers found a severe Android security flaw that affects Pixels, Samsung phones, and more
Google security researchers often disclose severe security issues that affect various products or operating systems. While they might anger some of the company’s competitors in the process, Google does the same thing with its own software. The company just unearthed a severe security flaw that should have been patched all the way back in December 2017, and it could allow an attacker to spy on a victim’s device. The list of potentially affected devices includes several high-end handsets like the Pixel, Pixel 2, Galaxy S9, and Huawei P20 series. However, it’s not all bad news, as the company is already rolling out fixes. Furthermore, as dangerous as the flaw might be, it doesn’t allow remote access to a device without the prior installation of a different piece of malware.

Samsung’s exact launch date for the Galaxy S11 might’ve just leaked
We published our review of the Galaxy Note 10 just over a month ago, but thanks to a surprisingly early leak, we may already know when the Galaxy S11 will make its debut. According to “preliminary information” received by SamMobile, the launch event for Samsung’s next-generation flagship is scheduled for the third week of February.
SamMobile says that Samsung will once again hold its Unpacked event for the next Galaxy flagship in San Francisco, and although the publication says it is not 100% confident, it seems likely that Samsung will take the stage on February 18th, 2020 to introduce the world to the new Galaxy S11 series.

‘Red Dead Redemption 2’ is finally coming to PC next month
When Red Dead Redemption 2 launched on PS4 and Xbox One last October, one of the first questions out of many fans’ mouths was: “When is Red Dead 2 coming to PC?” Considering virtually all of Rockstar’s games have made the jump from consoles over the years, a PC release of their biggest game in half a decade seemed inevitable, but there was no real news about it… until today. Rockstar Games announced on Friday that Red Dead Redemption 2 will hit PC on November 5th, with pre-purchases coming to the Rockstar Games Launcher on October 9th.

Paralyzed man walks again thanks to brain-controlled exoskeleton
A 28-year-old man who fell some 40 feet off a balcony four years ago is getting back on his feet thanks to advancements in brain-controlled robotics technology. The man, identified as Thibault in a new research paper, had his spinal cord severed in the fall, preventing him from moving almost every part of his body.
Paralyzed from the shoulders down, and with only partial control over a single arm, Thibault has been training with a robotic exoskeleton that responds to commands from his own brain, and his progress shows that there may be hope for individuals with devastating spinal injuries to regain their mobility.

Here’s how ‘Spider-Man’ actor Tom Holland helped save the Disney-Sony deal
Spider-Man has been the talk of the town for the past few weeks. Not because Far From Home earned well over $1 billion at the box office this summer, but because Sony and Disney had a bit of a break-up. Fans learned that Spider-Man 3 was no longer a part of the MCU, as Sony wanted to have a go at making Spider-verse movies alone, without having to share any profits with Disney — and without benefiting from the huge cinematic universe that Marvel Studios and Kevin Feige created.
Sony and Disney eventually resolved their differences and inked a new deal, which was announced late last week. Just like that, Spider-Man was back in the MCU with the promise of appearing in at least two more MCU titles, presumably a massive Avengers: Endgame-like crossover in addition to Spider-Man 3. We then learned that Marvel may be writing Peter Parker out of the MCU with these two upcoming movies, although a different report said that Sony and Marvel may be working on a way to share the superhero without too much hassle.
Earlier this week a fresh report said that Tom Holland, who has played Parker/Spider-Man in five MCU films so far, was a superhero in real life, urging both Sony and Disney to get back to the negotiations table. And the most powerful man at Disney has now confirmed it all.
