%name Articles of Interest by Authcom, Nova Scotia\s Internet and Computing Solutions Provider in Kentville, Annapolis Valley

We’ve been pretty hard on the cable and telecom industries for all the sneaky fees they like to tack onto bills in a variety of ways, such that their inscrutable nature is one reason people so despise the companies and long for a much simpler relationship and pricing structure. Just when you think you’ve seen it all, though, something else comes along to prove you wrong. In this case, it’s a fee AT&T is reportedly charging business Internet customers, and it will definitely elicit some frustrated groans.

CDC: Stop kissing your pet turtle

%name Articles of Interest by Authcom, Nova Scotia\s Internet and Computing Solutions Provider in Kentville, Annapolis Valley

An outbreak of salmonella infections across 13 states has prompted the Centers for Disease Control to issue a rather bizarre warning to the owners of pet turtles: please stop kissing them. A new bulletin regarding the outbreak also cites “snuggling” as a potential avenue of infection.

With a total of 21 confirmed cases of salmonella infection and the majority of affected individuals noting they recently had contact with a pet turtle, the outbreak doesn’t have a single source. The turtles don’t appear to have all been bought from the same pet store or anything of that nature, but turtles are known to carry salmonella and it would seem too many people are getting cuddly with their tiny friends.

Friday marked the arrival of a long-awaited follow-up to AMC’s Breaking Bad — six years after the series ended and left everyone wondering what’s in store for Jesse Pinkman as he escaped the clutches of the neo-Nazi gang and now that he’s finally free of Walter White.

8 new trailers you need to watch: Zombieland 2, Onward, Jungle Cruise and more

Joker destroyed the box office last weekend, and for good reason. The film should be on the to-watch list of every comic book film fan out there, regardless of whether you catch it in theaters or watch it online later. Joker would work even without its obvious tie to Batman, but it’s even better because of it.

With that in mind, there’s likely no way that Gemini Man beats Joker this week, although Will Smith’s Looper-like action movie might be entertaining. Also out this weekend is the new Addams Family. More importantly, available on Netflix this Friday are two dramas — Fractured and El Camino, the Breaking Bad movie fans have been waiting for. Speaking of Netflix, three of the following eight trailers are Netflix creations, so let’s dig in.

Google’s new Pixelbook Go leaks in full just days before its reveal

%name Articles of Interest by Authcom, Nova Scotia\s Internet and Computing Solutions Provider in Kentville, Annapolis Valley

Now that we know virtually everything there is to know about the Pixel 4 and Pixel 4 XL, including the design changes and the full specs that will accompany them, most of the intrigue surrounding Google’s hardware event next week has evaporated. But the flagship phone isn’t the only new device Google will have to show off next week, as the company is also expected to introduce a new Pixelbook. Unsurprisingly, it has also now been spoiled.

9to5Google actually gave us a rundown of the purported specifications of the upcoming Pixelbook Go last month, but on Friday, the site returned with even more details, as well as a series of photos of the Chromebook from its hands-on time with the device (which, we remind you, has yet to even be announced).

%name Articles of Interest by Authcom, Nova Scotia\s Internet and Computing Solutions Provider in Kentville, Annapolis Valley

With Google’s “Made by Google” event set to take place next week, the search giant will likely have no shortage of surprises in store for us. Indeed, Google over the past few years has really taken a head-first dive into hardware and, if we’re being honest, Google hardware is typically pretty impressive.

That said, there’s no question that the star of Google’s upcoming media event will be the Pixel 4, the next-gen version of Google’s well-received smartphone. The Pixel 3 was a solid device all around, but the recently released iPhone 11 arguably trounces it in every respect. Will the Pixel 4 give the next-gen iPhone a run for its money?

To get to the bottom of that question, we’ve compiled a brief rundown of everything we know about Google’s next-gen smartphone. Suffice it to say, if history is any indication, the Pixel 4 has a good chance of instantly becoming the best Android device on the market.
