All technology eventually becomes obsolete, but sometimes it sneaks up on us. For example, would you really have guessed that some Roku streaming devices are so old that Netflix will no longer support them by the end of the year? As Cord Cutters News reported last week, some Roku users have begun to receive notifications that their devices will no longer have access to the Netflix app starting on December 1st, 2019.

“Due to technical limitations, Netflix will no longer be available on this device after December 1st, 2019,” explains the error message, which Netflix has also shared on its Help Center website. “Please visit netflix.com/compatibledevices for a list of available devices [though the specific devices are not listed].”

Former NASA scientists claims we found life on Mars in the 1970s

%name Articles of Interest by Authcom, Nova Scotia\s Internet and Computing Solutions Provider in Kentville, Annapolis Valley

NASA’s Viking Project resulted in a pair of successful landings on Mars in 1976, and they were groundbreaking missions in many respects. The spacecraft, which were the first from the US to make a safe landing on the Red Planet, returned images and data from the planet’s surface, and the two landers helped shape future missions to Mars.

Now, a scientist deeply involved in the Viking missions says that if we’re looking for life on Mars, we probably already found it. In a new op-ed, Gilbert Levin, principal investigator of the Viking Labeled Release experiment, says that data sent back from the Mars in the 1970s is proof that life exists on the planet.

First details emerge on the new Marvel show that will somehow resurrect a dead Avenger

%name Articles of Interest by Authcom, Nova Scotia\s Internet and Computing Solutions Provider in Kentville, Annapolis Valley

Phase 4 of the Marvel Cinematic Universe kicks off next year on May 1st with Black Widow, which will be followed by several other films and TV series. And unlike previous phases, MCU phase 4 will actually contain quite a few TV series thanks to the launch of Disney’s own streaming service (which, by the way, you can subscribe to for $4.72 per month right now thanks to a huge mistake). All the new MCU shows will stream on Disney+, featuring many of the same Marvel characters we’ve seen in previous movies. The upcoming TV series will also introduce new heroes who will then make their way to future Marvel movies. And as it happens, the first details about a limited Marvel series set to premiere in spring 2021 have already emerged, and it’s a series that will resurrect an Avenger who is currently dead, following the events in Infinity War and Endgame.

%name Articles of Interest by Authcom, Nova Scotia\s Internet and Computing Solutions Provider in Kentville, Annapolis Valley

Even if you’re not playing that much Fortnite these days, you’ve certainly heard about what has happened: the horror that is the “Black Hole”! In what’s actually a fantastic marketing trick for one of the most important gaming sensations of the last few years, Fortnite gamers found themselves unable to play their favorite game after a meteor hit the virtual world. It all happened at around 2:00 PM EST on October 13th, and Epic Games hasn’t explained the strange phenomenon. Players were swallowed into a black hole, but Epic obviously didn’t just abruptly delete the game and shut down all Fortnite servers. Fans have discovered that the game will return soon, even though Epic is yet to announce anything.
