Everything you need to know about the Pixel 4 and Pixel 4 XL – including a few surprises
It seems like it took an eternity for today’s announcements to finally happen, but lo and behold, the Pixel 4 and Pixel 4 XL are finally official. Google’s next-generation Pixel phones are quite literally two of the most leaked smartphones of all time. In fact, forget leaks and rumors, we’ve already seen several comprehensive reviews of the Pixel 4 and Pixel 4 XL smartphones, as well as some Pixel 4 video reviews that were posted on YouTube. Remember when a shipment of Pixel 3 and Pixel 3 XL prototypes was stolen in Eastern Europe last year? Well, it seems like something similar happened in Vietnam this year because most of the aforementioned reviews and videos originated in Vietnam and Thailand. While the resulting content was most often not in English, we still learned just about everything we needed to know about Google’s new Pixel 4 and Pixel 4 XL. Or did we?
Google executives took the stage in New York City on Monday morning and officially announced the new Pixel 4 and Pixel 4 XL smartphones, among other things like a new Pixelbook laptop and several next-generation smart home devices that now fall under the Nest brand. And despite all the leaks, rumors, and even in-depth reviews we’ve seen floating around the web for the past six months, Google actually did manage to save a few surprises for Tuesday’s big event.

Google officially introduces next-gen version of its Nest Mini
Google may have made a name for itself by focusing exclusively on software, but the company in recent years has jumped head first into the world of hardware. Indeed, Google today has so many hardware products that it routinely holds media events dedicated exclusively to its new hardware offerings.
With that said, Google’s “Made by Google” event kicked off today, where the search giant is expected to officially take the wraps off of its highly-anticipated Pixel 4. And while the Pixel 4 is undoubtedly the star of the show, Google certainly has a few other hardware announcements in store for us.

Google announces all-new Pixelbook Go, an ultralight notebook
Today at Google’s highly-anticipated Pixel 4 event the company announced an entirely new Pixelbook. The Pixelbook Go is an ultralight version of Google’s notebook, running Chrome OS. The notebook has a smooth, rounded design and a ribbed, grippy bottom that Google says is built for portability and usability in mind.
The new notebook features an even larger battery than the original Pixelbook, with up to 12 hours of working battery life. It comes with either an Intel m3, i5, or i7 CPU, 8GB or 16GB of memory, and up to 256GB of SSD storage space. The magnesium alloy body keeps weight down, and the entire notebook weighs “barely 2 lbs,” according to Google.

Google just unveiled its newest AirPods alternative, the Pixel Buds
It’s finally here, October 15th, or Pixel 4 day, as I’ve been calling it lately. The new Google phones will be the star of Google’s fall 2019 hardware event, but they’re not the only new products coming out of Google’s labs today. In fact, the first new device that Google unveiled is the brand new Pixel Buds wireless earbuds. This time around, Google’s new AirPods alternative is fully wireless. The two earbuds aren’t connected by a wire, as it was the case before, and that’s just one of the 2019 Pixel Buds’ new features.

One of the last major hardware reveal events of the year has arrived, as Google is set to take the stage on Tuesday morning to unveil a new slate of devices for the fall season. You won’t believe how cheap this brand new Android flagship is
OnePlus shocked rivals and end users alike a few years ago when it launched its first “flagship killer” that delivered the same specs you’d find on a high-end Android phone, but at a much lower price. OnePlus wasn’t the first Chinese company to create cheaper flagship handsets, but it had bigger plans than China, targeting Western markets that hadn’t been exposed to low-cost Chinese vendors. A few years later, OnePlus phones still turn heads and they’re still cheaper than the latest iPhones or top Android devices, with OnePlus having a more significant presence in the US and Europe than before. But other Chinese smartphone makers are now selling their own devices in these markets, and some of them are trying to undercut OnePlus with more affordable high-end Android handsets.
Such is the case with this brand new handset from China, which has the same specs you get from the OnePlus 7T but at a crazy price that’s more than $200 less than OnePlus’s newest phone.
