Verizon will give every unlimited customer a year of Disney+ for free
In the weeks leading up to the launch of Disney’s upcoming streaming service, there have been a few deals that have given subscribers the ability to sign up at a discounted rate. But none of those deals compare to the one that Verizon announced on Tuesday, as the wireless carrier will be giving away a full year of Disney+ to every wireless unlimited customer, new Fios Home Internet customer, and 5G Home Internet customer.
When Disney+ launches on November 12th, Verizon will become the exclusive wireless partner for the service, which means you won’t find a similar deal from any other carrier. Anyone with an unlimited plan or Fios or 5G home internet will be able to activate their Disney+ account on launch day and stream on any supported device.

PlayStation 5’s price and exact release date might’ve just leaked
Sony said that its next-gen PlayStation 5 gaming console will hit stores ahead of the holidays next year, but the company hasn’t announced a firm launch date for the PS5. As with the previous version, a mid-November release would make plenty of sense, since that means the console will be available during the busiest shopping weeks of the year. Sony will be counting on the Christmas shopping season to ship a large number of new consoles to gamers looking to get the best PlayStation experience Sony has to offer. Similarly, Microsoft is expected to launch the next-gen Xbox during the same timeframe, though we don’t have a launch date for the Xbox Scarlett either.
We still have a long wait ahead of us before Sony makes things official, but it turns out that the new PS5’s price and exact release date may have just been revealed in a huge leak.

Anker just released brand new true wireless earbuds and they’re on sale for $45
Like everything else Anker makes, the company’s true wireless earbuds have been universally praised for offering great quality at surprisingly low price points. But if you thought the company’s earlier earbuds were great, just wait until you get a load of Anker’s newest offering. The brand new Anker Soundcore Life P2 True Wireless Earbuds feature a design similar to AirPods, but with even better sound quality and battery life. They also have 4 mics and cVc 8.0 noise reduction, graphene drivers, enhanced bass, IPX7 water-resistance, and fast charging that adds an hour of playback with just a 10-minute charge. They retail for $60 which is already a killer price ($100 less than the cheapest AirPods!), but a special launch discount drops them to $44.99 for a limited time!
Anker Soundcore Life P2 True Wireless Earbuds with 4 Mic, CVC 8.0 Noise Reduction, Graphene Dri…: $44.99
Here are the bullet points from the product page:
- Crystal-Clear Calls via 4 Mics and cVc 8.0 Noise Reduction: Each earbud has two microphones with beamforming noise reduction and cVc 8.0 technology for superior vocal enhancement and background-noise suppression. This ensures your voice is heard clearly on the other end—without interference.
- Incredible Sound Powered By Graphene Drivers: Life P2’s graphene drivers oscillate with extreme precision to girve your music a wider soundstage with exceptional accuracy and clarity across the entire frequency range. Bass is further enhanced by up to 43% by our exclusive BassUp technology which analyzes low frequencies in real-time and instantly intensifies them. aptX audio allows you to stream music with CD-like audio quality thanks to lossless transmission between your device and the wireless earbuds.
- 40-Hour Playtime with Fast Charge: A single charge gives you a full 7 hours of listening, while the charging case extends that to 40 hours. When you’re in a rush and need power fast, simply charge for 10 minutes and get up to 1 hour of playtime.
- IPX7 Fully Waterproof: Life P2 wireless earbuds boast IPX7-rated protection against liquids. The fully waterproof casing allows you to keep your conversation going and the music playing, even if you’re caught in the heaviest of downpours.
- One-Step Pairing: Our proprietary PUSH AND GO technology streamlines the setup process so when you remove the wireless earbuds from the charging case, they’ll automatically connect to the last paired device.

A leak just revealed secret details about the way Netflix tracks us
In Netflix’s eyes, everyone reading these words who also subscribes to the streaming giant falls into one of these three categories: You’re either a “starter,” a “watcher,” or a “completer” (and probably more than one of those).
Those are the three categories into which Netflix groups viewers, and far being mere tags that help the service label its subscribers — the numbers herein are no doubt also used by the service to help inform decisions around what to green-light and what to cancel.

Amazon is giving away free money and we’re going to show you how to get it
So, we’re the BGR Deals team and we’re going to tell you about tons of great deals today, just like we do every day. That said, this is a rare occasion when we can state conclusively that one deal in particular is better than all the others. “Better” is typically subjective, but that’s not the case when it comes to this particular deal. Why? Because this particular deal gives you free money!
Here’s how this crazy Amazon promo works: head to this page and click the button to add the promotion to your account. That wasn’t so hard, was it? Then buy $50 worth of Amazon gift cards and you’ll get a $15 credit on your account within a couple of days. That’s all there is to it! And of course, you’ll add the $50 gift card balance to your own account since you’re obviously going to spend that money with Amazon at some point anyway, so you haven’t spent a dime and you got $15 for free! The one caveat is that the promotion is available only to people who have never bought an Amazon gift card before on the Amazon website. If you’ve purchased physical Amazon gift cards in a store, that’s fine and you can still take advantage of the promo.
Note that you can also try to use the coupon code 19GIFTCARD at checkout instead of going to the promotion page as we detailed above, but people seem to have much better luck with the first method. Just head to the promo page, click the button, then buy $50 worth of Amazon gift cards. Note that if you see anything on that promo page other than some instructions and the button to add the promo, it means you’re not eligible, most likely because you’ve purchased gift cards on Amazon in the past.

This is what Google didn’t tell you about the Pixel 4
Google unveiled the Pixel 4 and Pixel 4XL last Tuesday, finally putting a plug in what seemed like it would be an endless stream of leaks and rumors. A few leaks here and there are great for early adopters who love learning about unreleased devices before anyone else. But there’s a line that can be crossed when things go from exciting to exhausting, and the Pixel 4 series crossed that line about three months ago. We’re not talking about a few minor details here and there followed by a bunch of renders, which is how things work with most phones. We’re talking about full reviews and videos flooding YouTube and giving us up-close and personal looks at the new Pixel phones and most of their features. It was almost like the good old days when BGR was the site doing the leaking, back before we were acquired by a media giant and we could just laugh off all the lawsuits.
Things got so bad for Google that some people actually stopped caring about the Pixel 4 and Pixel 4 XL before they were even made official. When you’ve already seen a new smartphone dozens of times, what’s the big deal about seeing it again? Of course, Google’s press conference ended up reinvigorating most of us because it meant that the phones were on their way to store shelves. And for sites like BGR, it meant we could finally get our hands on the Pixel 4 and check it out for ourselves.
