The latest iPad Pro models, which were released in fall 2018, are easily the best tablets you can buy right now, particularly after the iPadOS 13 update. If you’re looking for an Android flagship tablet, you don’t have that many options with the Samsung Galaxy Tab S6 being your best bet right now. But a different iPad Pro alternative, one that looks a lot like Apple’s tablet, just leaked, complete with a screen design we only saw on smartphones so far.

‘Death Stranding’ review: Delivering packages in the post-apocalypse
Ever since I finished Death Stranding, I’ve been thinking a lot about the games that have defined this generation. The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild, Horizon Zero Dawn, Nier: Automata, and God of War all spring to mind, but none of these games had as much of an impact on me as the first game from Kojima Productions.
Death Stranding is a video game. I’m starting there because I don’t know how else to describe it. This PS4 exclusive (coming to PC in 2020) is about a man who makes deliveries in a world where few dare to leave the relative safety of their homes. It’s also about America, and identity, and death, and spirituality, and family, and especially keeping your balance when the weight of the world is on your shoulders… both literally and metaphorically.

Poop transplant death linked to E. coli
Earlier this year, the US Food and Drug Administration issued a warning regarding the safety of so-called fecal microbiota transplants (FMTs). The bulletin came after two patients were infected with a drug-resistant form of E. coli after receiving poop transplants from the same donor. One of the patients recovered from their illness, but the other, a 73-year-old with blood cancer, ultimately died.
Poop transplants are a relatively new form of treatment for patients who have imbalances in the bacteria present in their digestive system. The tiny organisms that live in the gut are important to a person’s health, and not having the right mix can cause a whole host of problems. FMTs are one way to fix it, but there are plenty of risks.

Tesla Model Y prototype spotted cruising along a California highway
For as often as detractors like to categorize Tesla as a flash in the pan with no long-term prospects for success, the electric automaker has made a habit of proving those naysayers wrong. While Tesla’s ability to sell cars has never been an issue, the company’s ability to actually turn a profit has long been called into question. Recently, though, Tesla surprised almost everyone when the company posted a quarterly profit of $342 million when most analysts were anticipating a steep quarterly loss.
During the ensuing earnings conference call, Musk couldn’t help but heap praise on the company’s upcoming Model Y, a crossover version of Tesla’s immensely popular Model 3. Notably, Musk said that the Model Y may arrive sooner than anticipated given that production may commence by summer of 2020.

Man slices his finger off after snake bite, then the doctor tells him it was unnecessary
Getting bitten by a snake obviously isn’t fun, but when that snake is a species that is venomous and potentially deadly? Well, then you’ve got a tough decision to make. A Chinese man was recently put into that incredibly tough situation when a snake believed to be a pit viper sunk its fangs into his finger.
Fearing for his life, the man acted swiftly, slicing his finger clean off before traveling to a local hospital for evaluation. Once he arrived, doctors offered him some good news and some bad news. The good news was that he was perfectly fine, but the bad news? He probably should have left his finger right where it was.

Very good dog gets hit by car, casually rides 15 miles inside busted bumper
A story of a dog being hit by a car very rarely has a happy ending, but nothing about this bizarre tale out of upstate New York really makes much sense. It all began when a woman says she hit “something” with her car, severely damaging her front bumper to the point that any reasonable person would probably contact law enforcement.
The woman did not, in fact, alert authorities and, despite claiming that she had no idea what she hit and even got out to inspect her vehicle, she continued her trip. Some 15 miles and 45 minutes after the accident, the driver claims she heard “noises” and got out of her vehicle to investigate further.

Tesla will roll out a software update that will make the Model S even faster
For years, Tesla CEO Elon Musk lamented the fact that Tesla had no real competition in the EV space. Sure, there is no shortage of EVs on the market today, but you’d be hard-pressed to find a vehicle that comes anywhere close to matching the style and performance offered by Tesla’s luxury Model S.
The launch of the Porsche Taycan changed all that. Years in the making, and fueled by the success Tesla saw with the Model S, the Porsche Taycan is an incredibly sleek EV with incredible performance. As Porsche executives boasted over the past few months, the Taycan isn’t so much an electric vehicle as it is a Porsche that just so happens to be an EV.

Lightning strike leaves gaping hole in parking lot
When severe thunderstorms roll through your neck of the woods one of the biggest concerns is always the risk of a tornado. A swirling vortex of high-speed wind and debris can cause incredible damage, but as residents of Fort Worth, Texas, were recently reminded, lightning can wreak havoc, too.
A ridiculously powerful bolt of lightning zapped the parking lot of a Chevron gas station early on Wednesday morning, blowing a 15-foot hole into the thick concrete and sending debris flying. As police quickly found out, the blast, which was caught on a nearby security camera, could have been much, much worse.
