Police officer who stole naked pictures from a perp’s phone isn’t going to jail

It might not come as much of a surprise, but another police officer has been convicted of wrongdoing.

Ars Technica reports that Sean Harrington, a former California Highway Patrolman (who has since resigned from the force), pleaded no contest after being charged with criminal felony charges for stealing and distributing naked photos from two arrested citizens’ phones. He will not serve any jail time.

Comcast is sorry it called customer an ‘a**hole’ on their bill

Anyone who has worked in customer service knows that it can be a miserable job that involves dealing with rude, angry people. That said, the generally accepted way to deal with rude customers is to keep any such negative feelings about them to yourself, or at the very most only share them with your friends and colleagues. This unwritten rule doesn’t seem to have stopped one Comcast customer service representative from changing a customer’s first name to “A**hole” in the company’s database and keeping it there until the customer received their monthly bill with the expletive written at the top of the page.

Prynt, the iPhone 6 case that prints Polaroid-style photos, is now on Kickstarter

In mid-November, a French startup called Prynt demoed a special smartphone case that contains a printer and houses enough special sheets of papers to let smartphone users quickly print out some of their photos and selfies in on-the-go Polaroid fashion. At the time, the company said the device would be available on Kickstarter at some point after CES 2015, and it looks like that time has come.

iPhone 6 and 6 Plus stole more users from Android than any other iPhone

Tim Cook praised the devices during Tuesday’s earnings conference call, MacRumors reports, revealing the iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus managed to bring more users to iOS from Android than any other iPhone before.

Apple’s killer quarter in charts

Apple’s fiscal first quarter was a complete blowout, sending the company’s stock soaring in after-hours trading on Tuesday night. We already gave you all the numbers: $18 billion in profit… $74.6 billion in revenue… 74.4 million iPhones sold… gross margin that climbed to 39.9%… it’s all simply staggering.

Of course, there’s no better way to put Apple’s killer quarter in content than by visualizing some of the key figures from Apple’s report.
